I bought this to take landscape photos of course. I'm still new to photography and just recently bought into the lee filter systems. So I wanted to try the graduated soft ND filter. I used it the same day I bought it in the midday noon sun to see what it will do. Impressed with the results so far. I uploaded a pic I took with it and the Lee 105mm polarizer only.

I like using this Grad ND filter, but I found that out in the wilderness it gets dirty easily and is hard to clean and easy to scratch. The photos looked great so I don't know how much real impact there is, but it is definitely a challenge to keep it clean. I'm wondering why resin is the material used here. Also nudging the filter up and down, it is really easy to hit the focus ring. Overall though, it does what it is supposed to do and is quite subtle, but adds a lot of drama to the sky. It is not too heavy or bulky for backpacking with a DSLR.

Great filter and a strong companion for the reverse grad that had been my work horse.

No disappointment here, it is a continuation of my positive experience with 0.6 graduated neutral density filters (soft and hard) of the same brand.

Excellent quality. I chose Lee over Singh Ray for the same product for the better price. Very happy with my decision.

Filters make in camera images superior to post processing. I enjoy capturing all the data this way. The results are more natural than HDR

I am new to using filters like this, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I have been able to use this one a bit already and I love it. It absolutely allows me to step up the quality of my outdoor images.

        Same Lee quality

        By PWPhoto

        from Florence. SC

What can I say. It is a Lee. If you have used them, you know there arent many brands better. Not for the price. Yes there are better ones out there, and they are made of Schott glass, but they are also easily broken and over twice the price. For me and my travel landscape photography, Lee is the best choice for me.

Just got this so the only reason it is a 4 is that I have only used it once so far. And it was incredible. I own a less expensive version from a different manufacturer and the difference was astounding. Pure colors without tint. Slowly building my filter kit, LEE all the way.
