Comments about Pentax 06 Telephoto Zoom 15-45mm f/2.8 Lens:

I use my mirrorless camera primarily for street photography, since it is less conspicuous than a DSLR with zoom or telephoto lens. I love the size of the lens, very compact and light. The zoom is smooth and easy, and the autofocus is quick. It is a parafocal lens, so I can zoom all the way in, focus, then zoom out and compose. I really like that aspect of the lens.

The images I've shot have been very clear, though I've been doing mostly B&W, so I can't vouch for the color accuracy.

Comments about Pentax 06 Telephoto Zoom 15-45mm f/2.8 Lens:

The Q system really lacked zoom until this lens was released. The fact that its 2.8 the whole way through just sweetens the pot and helps to keep your shutter speed up if you really don't want to push the ISO too high.

Sharp with good low light performance. Overall I'm very pleased with this lens and would recommend it to anyone who's investing in the Pentax Q system.

Comments about Pentax 06 Telephoto Zoom 15-45mm f/2.8 Lens:

This lens is a great and so much needed addition to the Q lens line-up. It's a very powerful lens with constant f/2.8 aperture. The optics assures very sharp pictures and I'm really glad I purchased this lens for a very reasonable price.

I needed a light take with me anywhere camera and a good lens. I purchased the Pentax Q10 and this lens. I could not be happier. The camera takes great photos, the lens does everything I thought it would.

Comments about Pentax 06 Telephoto Zoom 15-45mm f/2.8 Lens:

The Pentax Q is the camera I didn't think I needed but got for a good price and am glad I did. That said, the release of the 06 Telephoto Zoom 15-45mm f/2.8 was a welcomed addition to make up a tiny go-pack two lens/camera setup. It is only slightly longer than the 02 Standard 5-15mm zoom and weighs almost nothing. For times when the K-5 kit is too much, the Q kit is great and the lens combo works very well.

Comments about Pentax 06 Telephoto Zoom 15-45mm f/2.8 Lens:

So far I've found this lens to be a good value. Optics appear to be nice, with minimal CA in OOF areas. Sharp with nice color/contrast and f2.8 constant, can't beat that in a lens this size!Construction is good but not great. The 02 lens feels more solid, and the focus ring on the 06 is to thin. It gives to the lightest pressure, but it doesn't actually bend- just flexes alot. I shimmed mine and it minimized that and also stopped the other build issue. That being it's way to easy to nudge the focus ring when zooming. In fact I think at times the zoom ring movement turned the focus ring enough to kick in the MF assist feature (if you use that). That drove me nuts. Shimming it also improved the lack of resistance that focus by wire gives you. Not a fan of focus by wire, but adapting to it. All in all, it's a very good lens. I'd give it a 5 IF the focus ring was more solid.
