The 19mm and 30mm lenses (38mm and 60mm equivalents) are close to normal perspective. The wide normal is especially useful for group portraits, interiors, and landscapes, and the tight normal for framing a single subject. Either one would be fine for everyday use, but they aren't redundant.

A note on what's included: The "kit" just means the two lenses in the same retail packaging they have when sold separately. Each lens comes with a zippered case and caps for front and rear. The 19mm lens includes a hood, which does not fit the 30mm lens. They have printed 1-year warranties, but a Sigma rep told me on the phone that the US warranty for EX DN lenses is 4 years, but Sigma doesn't put that in writing. The verbal warranty is my only complaint about the lenses, but hopefully I won't need it.
