Comments about Sebang Outpost Sling Bag (Large, Midnight Blue):

After trying many different shoulder bags, I'm glad I found this one. I wanted something that was low profile, comfortable, had easy access, and was weather resistant.

My previous bag was an Incase Ari sling bag that I was never quite satisfied with. It was never comfortable, the strap was too bulky, and the interior dividers weren't really adjustable. I found that it didn't sit quite right when used messenger style, and it wasn't comfortable when cinched up close to my back sling style.

The Crumpler Sebang Outpost in Large works very well when used messenger style. It hugs the body and the strap is minimal, but comfortable. I found that it had similar issues as the Ari when used sling style because of the location that the strap is attached to the bag. My preference is to only use it messenger style so this didn't bother me. I love the ease of access when fully zipped open. It opens up like the mouth of a clam but is still secure that nothing falls out.

The interior is a bright blue color so that you can easily see what's inside. I got the navy color and it's a great vintage shade of dark blue. I had an issue with the main zipper pull tabs (with the Crumpler logo) falling off, but that was easily resolved by studying the other zipper pull tabs that were on tight. I just had to reverse the way they looped through the zipper pull and they are no longer falling off.

This bag fits my D800 with 24-70mm Nikkor attached (no hood), and has room for a Sigma 35mm Art and 85mm 1.8G Nikkor on the sides. The front holds my lens pen, sharpie, business cards, lens caps, rocket blower, extra battery, and more. With that load, it will be hard to stick an iPad in there, but it will fit. I rarely carry an iPad so I use that pocket for maps and papers. It balances very well on the hip and I can compare it to the way a 3-pocket medic bag would hang. I use the strap fully extended and it's the perfect size for my 5'8" long-torso frame. If you are really tall, the strap may be too short for you to use messenger style.

I would not hesitate to buy this bag again.
