I do architectural photography and an articulating screen is a must. The Canon 70 D is the best camera out there today with this type of screen. Accuracy and speed of focusing has been improved significantly, and make this worthy of an upgrade on its own. I do a considerable amount of pole aerial photography for my architectural work and the ability to control the camera using my iPhone via the Wi-Fi function while the camera is 15 feet off the ground is a big help.

The image quality and resolution was already good with the 60 D and remains excellent. There is a noticeable difference in image quality at high ISO when shooting JPEG, but not so much when shooting in RAW. Shooting at extremes high ISO is something I do on occasion and I get very acceptable results (under exposure always produce more noise than correctly exposed images at a higher ISO). If you need a camera that produces great results at high ISO this camera cannot give you the performance of the D-5 or 6 D.

My only complaint is the way that Canon has rearranged the function buttons on the back of the camera. I was planning to keep my 60 D as a backup camera, but it will be very difficult to keep from pressing the wrong buttons when switching between cameras.

First of all I bought this camera primarily for video use. Let's start with the good. The dual pixel focusing along with the touch screen is awesome and I am sure it will only get better with future upgrades. STM lens is silent. Menu very easy to maneuver with the touch screen. Decent ISO, usable up to 2000 without too much noise.

Now to the bad, this camera deserves the title of Moire Monster. The moire when shooting scenes with patterns such as brick homes are gruesome and unusable. If you shoot a lot of patterns such as real estate video and landscape with homes this is not your camera, Nikon does much better. If you can avoid moire patterns then this is a great camera.

The moire takes away two stars it's that bad. To show you what I am talking about, attached are two grabbed frames from video (second photo at 150% zoom) Imagine those images at 24 or 30 fps and you get the idea. I am waiting for the 80d which is expected to be released this year 2016. Will purchase if it resolves the moire problems and is future proof with 4k, if not looks maybe will be going back to Nikon or moving on to Sony.

Fantastic Product and Excellent Service!

Comments about Canon EOS 70D DSLR Camera with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 STM Lens:

I bought this Camera for my daughter for a high school graduation present. Immediately after graduation, she and some friends headed out on a road trip from North Carolina to California and she wanted this camera to document their trip. She is very happy with it and says "you can't take a bad picture!". Well, that might be an exageration, but she is delighted with the camera and I'm delighted with the service I got from B&H. The product was shipped the same day I ordered it and it arrived in plenty of time for my daughter's trip. While other places offered the camera for the same price, B&H included a memory card, two extra batteries, a second charger and a 16GB memory card to boot! Also, I was able to purchase the same two-year protection package for less when buying through B&H.

Thanks B&H - you've done it again!

Comments about Canon EOS 70D DSLR Camera with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 STM Lens:

I'm a serious outdoorsman and photo enthusiast who bought this as an upgrade to my Rebel 4ti. I love the size of the camera and added features that come with it - increased ISO and wifi capabilities to name a few. As expected, the kit lens was wildly average so I quickly upgraded (cheap glass is cheap glass). After getting a better lens I have no complaints and love the camera which I have now brought with me on trips all around the world.

This is a phenomenal camera! Images are useable up to 6,400 ISO! 7 frames per second shooting is great! I can't wait to utilize the 7 fps during the kiss at wedding! Quick Focusing! It has great dynamic range and color rendition! The 18-135mm is better than I expected! Great Walk Around Lens!

Comments about Canon EOS 70D DSLR Camera with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 STM Lens:

I got tired of missing shots with a Canon G15, so I got this one because of it's features and the lens's versatility. It's wonderful to have it with me all of the time. The lens is probably not a "Pro" quality lens, but it is amazingly good for what it is. It has reasonably good macro abilities and is good for everything except, maybe, portraits with soft backgrounds.

Purchased this model 12/23/13. Full Time real estate and architectural facility photographer. Well over 200,000 captures with this model. Most captures utilized the HDR in camera function. Cut post-processing time in half. In camera HDR function works well for real estate captures. Sadly shutter failure 3/2/16.

Comments about Canon EOS 70D DSLR Camera with 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 STM Lens:

I'll admit: I'm not a professional photographer. I am simply fascinated with taking pictures that hopefully inspire others. And this Canon EOS 70D has allowed me to do just that. I use this camera -- equipped with a nice, standard lens -- to capture nature, wildlife and sports.

While this version of EOS isn't well-suited for sports photography because of its relatively slow focus, I've loved using this camera to capture close-up images of leaves, wildlife, etc.

The clarity of the 70D's pictures is really outstanding. Considering this is an older model, I'm impressed with the ISO range and various shutter speeds. The f/stops are limited with this lens, but that's what I expected -- this model is best suited for aspiring photographers.

One qualm I have about the 70D: its low-lighting capabilities aren't what I had hoped for. However, if you have a tripod and you're trying to shoot long exposure, this camera works well.

Overall, I love the Canon EOS 70D. And I'll be able to use this camera for the next 10 years -- and upgrade lenses as I progress.
