I love this mouse! I wanted a Bluetooth mouse to use with my new laptop (which has built-in Bluetooth), rather than a wireless mouse, because I didn't want to tie up a USB port with a wireless dongle.

The Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse was easy to set up and even included Duracell batteries! It connects quicker than a previous Bluetooth mouse I used with an older laptop. (However, that laptop used a Bluetooth dongle, which might have been the reason for the slower connection with that mouse.) This mouse connects nearly as quickly as the MS Wireless 6000, which connects instantaneously.

I use the MS Wireless 6000 mouse for my other laptop, and I've grown accustomed to its convenient left- and right-side buttons that can be used navigate between browser pages. At first, I was somewhat dissatisfied that this new mouse couldn't do that. Actually, it has a nifty swipe pad on the left side that (with a little practice) lets me go back (and forth) between web pages just as easily as with the 6000. The swipe pad isn't right under my thumb, as was the left-side button on the 6000, but it's just a half-inch away and easy to get used to.

Although it's bigger (and heavier) than most mice, which might deter travelers and folks with small hands, it fits comfortably in my (average) hand, now that I have used the mouse for awhile. I use my new laptop mainly for entertainment (music and photo editing, online streaming, etc.). I prefer a mouse to the touchpad because I like to leave my arm resting on the arm of the recliner. This mouse is perfect because it performs all of the tasks required by my music-editing, and it works flawlessly on the arm of my recliner.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse and highly recommend it.

Lots of ideas on the Internet on how to get control of this mouse but none really work for me. Lots of people seem to be having problems with this mouse. I'm using Windows 7 so maybe it works better in Windows 8. It's a nice mouse when it does work but then it'll go nuts for a while. Much less frustration using the mouse pad or USB mouse.

Great Mouse

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse:

I purchased the Microsoft Sculpt Comfort when I found that my new work laptop does not have an impressive touch pad. Initially I just wanted to go for an inexpensive Bluetooth mouse. A quick search revealed that I could preserve a USB port with the offering from Microsoft. It is slightly expensive for a mouse but I could use a B&H coupon that brought the effective price down to $5! True to its name, the mouse has a very comfortable grip - it is almost a pleasure to hold it. The build quality is good too if you are not bothered by its glossy surface catching fingerprints. Accuracy is very good especially when working with Excel. It also works well on different surfaces – wooden desk, white/color paper, cloth. Once you get used to the Windows button, you will find it easier to access the Start menu. The swipe up and down on the blue button only works on browsers (Windows 7). So I don’t think the button should drive your decision to buy it. Setting it up was a breeze and it reconnects in no time when I switch the laptop on.  Be sure, however, that your laptop has Bluetooth. It does become a tad heavy once you put the two batteries in. If we go by the definition that a good mouse is one that least we notice, the MS Sculpt Comfort mouse will not disappoint.

This mouse has a connectivity issue on Windows 10

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse:

I tried to discover a way to manage it on my upgraded PC to Win 10 and have found many comments online about this issue. On Windows 10, some PCs recognize this device as a Bluetooth device but not as a mice, which makes this unusable. I spent over 4 hours and tried many options but gave up.

However, MS Surface notebook I own has a perfect connection. There is clearly something wrong, and until MS provides a patch, I have to remind that some Windows 10 PC are not compatible with this device.

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse:

I use this mouse with my Toshiba laptop. The mouse is very comfortable to work with and pairing was a breeze. I specifically like blue tooth so that I can keep my USB ports open for other devices. It also takes up very little space in my laptop knapsack. The Sulpt Comfort Mouse was very reasonably priced.

Seems to work just fine ( once Win 7 found the correct driver online and got it installed .. took several tries). But a little heavier and not quite as comfortable as I expected for my small hand. I will use this for a backup travel mouse.

Works nicely with my Mac-Mini Late 2012 It fits nicely to my larger hands and has a nice zoom feature. I'm not found of the rubberized scroll though. I had that on my last Microsoft Mouse and wore it out in a less than a year.

Except for the scroll my previous Microsoft Mouse was very nice, though I must say this one is more comfortable than it was. Hopefully, the rubber piece they use on the scroll has been improved as well.

I've used the Blue Trac tech before and love it.

What I love most about this mouse is that I don't have to use up any usb ports. It connected perfectly to my computers Blue Tooth and works very smooth.

It is not overly large, but is big enough to make it comfortable to use.

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse:

I bought this for my wife to replace an older Microsoft wireless mouse that she was happy with, but used it so much it fell apart.

The mouse connected easily, and didn't require any additional software (her laptop runs Windows 8.1 64-bit), but I later installed Microsoft's software that lets you customize the settings.

Despite playing with the bluetooth adapter settings, the mouse didn't always respond immediately to her movement (froze for seconds at a time), and she didn't like that (I wouldn't call her hard core, but she does play games on her laptop). Maybe there was something else I could have done, but nothing I tried worked.

She also didn't like the loudness of the clicks, but this mouse isn't advertised as silent or even quiet, that's just her preference.

This isn't the mouse's fault, but one thing I don't like is you can change most of the button settings in software, but you can't reprogram what happens when you click the "Start" button (which is pretty useless to me).

                    We returned the mouse.

Comments about Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse:

I purchased this mouse as an add-on accessory for my Surface Pro Tablet and I love how it work, looks and feels. I love that extra button on the side (the Windows Start Button). Makes working with the tablet even easier.
