Frank Doorhof is primarily known for his fashion and celebrity photography, although he also has a deep love of storytelling via the photographic image. Inspired by both his grandparent and parents, his work covers a lot of ground and is guided by one overriding principle: Be different. Additionally, teaching has always been in Frank’s blood, and in 2006 he made the choice to go into teaching and give seminars.
In this ninety-minute Masterclass, peppered with a healthy dose of humor, Frank Doorhof takes us through his thought process and photographic philosophy, everything from being prepared and forcing luck to discussing the technical aspects of composition, and working in all types of conditions. In the closing minutes he provides some tips on managing and promoting oneself as a professional photographer.
