Samsung has just announced the new HMX-QF30 and HMX-F90, a pair of compact, handheld camcorders that offer HD video recording, image stabilization, USB charging and the ability to capture still images while shooting video. The QF30 further benefits from having integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and live streaming capability.
The Samsung HMX-QF30 features 20x optical zoom (40x digital) with a 5.1 megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor capable of capturing 1080p/60i HD video. Available in black or white, the new Samsung HMX-F90 features a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor and powerful 52x optical zoom, with a maximum aperture of f/1.8 and a focal length of 2.1-109.2mm. It shoots 1080p HD video, 5 megapixel still photos, and has face detection functionality. It records to SD cards, and like the QF30, it has both HDMI and USB ports.
