Advanced DWZ Wireless Packages from Sony

Sony has just announced the arrival of two new DWZ Series 2.4 GHz digital wireless packages to their DWZ line of wireless products. The DWZ-M70 Vocal/Speech Set and the DWZ-B70HL Headset and Lavalier Set are designed to provide wireless audio solutions for musicians, churches, schools and corporate applications. Both sets operate on a wireless frequency range of 2.4 GHz and require no license in most countries. The new DWZ components share high-performance features including 24-bit linear PCM digital audio transmission, balanced and unbalanced audio outputs and outstanding sound quality.

These features are further complemented by technologies such as 128-bit AES encryption for secure transmission, a transmitter recharging function for use with an optional contactless battery charger, and Sony’s Intelligent Feedback Reducer to suppress unwanted feedback (or “howling”), using a combination of high performance DSP and Sony’s unique algorithms.

The DWZ-M70 Vocal/Speech Set includes a ZTX-M02RC handheld transmitter and ZRX-M70 half-rack wireless receiver. The handheld transmitter comes equipped with a cardioid dynamic microphone capsule. The included capsule is interchangeable and can be swapped out with the CU-C31 Cardioid Condenser capsule, the CU-F31 Super Cardioid Dynamic capsule, the CU-F32 Wide Cardioid Dynamic capsule or third party mic capsules. This feature allows the DWZ-M70 system to be customized to your needs.

The DWZ-B70HL Headset and Lavalier Set is designed for anyone looking for a hands-free wireless miking solution. It includes a ZTX-B02RC bodypack transmitter, a ZRX-HR70 half-rack receiver, an ECM-HZ1UBMP headset mic and an ECM-LZ1UBMP lavalier mic.

Both the ZRX-M70 and ZRX-HR70 half-rack receivers feature an XLR output as well as two 1/4" TS outputs. They both have front-panel LCD screens that provide access to their menus for channel selection as well as displaying valuable information, such as remaining transmitter-battery life, diversity reception RF levels, audio metering, EQ status and channel selection.

Sony has made sure to include all the necessities to get started, right out of the box. The DWZ-M70 Vocal/Speech Set comes supplied with a microphone clip and the DWZ-B70HL Headset and Lavalier Set includes two windscreens, a tie clip and a body pack belt clip. Both sets come with two antennas and an AC power adapter.
