Sony HDR-PJ580V HD Handycam Camcorder with Projector

The Sony HDR-PJ580V is absolutely feature-packed for a camcorder at this level, and one of the most “illuminating” functions of the camera is its very own built-in projector, located on the back of the flip-out LCD screen. View your video the instant you can access a flat, light-colored surface—without transferring a single file or connecting even one cable. The camera records AVCHD files as HD formats up to 1080p60 to MemoryStick media; SD, SDHC or SDXC cards up to 64GB; or to its 32GB of internal flash memory.

The camcorder’s Exmor R CMOS sensor has a resolution of 5.4MP, and the camera captures still images up to 20.4MP in resolution. With a Sony G 12x optical zoom lens, the PJ580V offers several advanced features, such as Golf Shot mode for quick capture of up to 22 still images, headphone and microphone inputs for monitoring and capturing better audio, a GPS receiver for geo-tagging and display controls that aid in setting focus and exposure manually. There’s also a CinemaTone Gamma/Color mode that mimics the color tones of film, which fits wonderfully with the camera’s 24p recording option.
