Nanlite has cranked up the power of the Forza line of monolight-style LEDs with the new, daylight-balanced Forza 720 and bicolor 720B. The new lights feature the same build quality and customization options as their predecessors, while rivaling the output of HMIs without the heft or heat.

The new lights are rated to 800 watts, leading the 720B to claim the title of most powerful bicolor monolight-style LED on the market to date. The 720B has a CRI of 96 and TLCI of 97 while the 720 has a CRI of 95 and TLCI of 96, promising consistent, accurate color. Both are adjustable from 0-100% in 0.1% increments, with the 720B offering a CCT range of 2700-6500K for fine-tuning output. The 720 comes with 11 customizable effects while the 720B includes a full dozen for simulating environmental lighting conditions.

Designed to maximize functionality when working on location, the 720 and 720B are capable of up to 70% and 65% brightness, respectively, when relying on battery power. Metal constructions promise longevity while the COB on the 720 and CSP on the 720B are encased in glass, adding an extra layer of protection from environmental contaminants. Both lights feature advanced yokes compatible with junior and baby pins, single-sided locks, and umbrella mounts. For more light-shaping options, a Bowens mount is compatible with a variety of modifiers.

Built-in Bluetooth and NANLINK mobile app compatibility make remote adjustments and coordination with other Nanlite sources fast and easy. The 720s also include an updated Control Unit that has V-mount battery attachments, a 2.2" LCD panel, DMX ports, and USB-A ports for updating firmware and providing power to external devices. A mounting clamp serves as a quick-release means of attachment to light stands or other available supports.
