The GT2532 Mountaineer Series 2 Carbon Fiber Tripod from Gitzo features Carbon eXact tubing, which includes High Modulus carbon fiber in the lower leg sections, adding to their diameters and making the tripod more rigid and stronger than its predecessor. The GT2532 has a load capacity of 48.5 lb, extends to a maximum height of 65.4", and folds down to 25.6" for transport.
The center column on the tripod can be removed for Ground Level Set, which enables the tripod to reach its lowest height of 6.3". Its three-section legs are secured with twist locks that incorporate G-lock Ultra, which has an internal O-ring to prevent dust and particles from entering the leg system. The top spider has been redesigned to add rigidity and large leg angle selectors give you more area to grip when readjusting leg angles. A ballast hook on the center column allows you to add weight to increase the tripod's stability.

Light and Portable for Real Estate Shoots BUT $$$$
I have been using the Gitzo GT2532 Mountaineer Series 2 Carbon Fiber Tripod for a few weeks now for real estate photography (indoors and some exteriors). I like that it’s lightweight, fairly quick to set up, and it handles my Nikon Z7 with a heavy perspective lens reasonably well. For my height, I usually pull the bottom leg out fully and the middle leg about halfway. The twist locks work, but with arthritis in my hands I sometimes struggle to get them tight enough. I’ve had one leg slip on me, and every now and then I hear a “click” when tightening, which makes me worry about damaging it. When I adjust the leg angles and lock them in place, they don’t seem to hold as firmly as expected; I can still move a leg too easily, which doesn’t inspire confidence. When I raise the center column (especially in kitchens for extra height), I also notice the stability isn’t quite as solid as I’d like. For the premium price, I expected it to feel sturdier all around. Overall, it’s a good tripod: light, portable, and capable for most real estate work. But between the twist locks, the leg angle issue, and the stability when the center column is extended, I’m not fully convinced it lives up to the price at all, I'd like to give it 3.5 stars because of the price, but have to select full stars, so I am giving it 4 stars.
