The unlocked, black Google Nexus 5 D820 16GB Smartphone from LG improves on its predecessor, the Nexus 4, with a bigger 4.95" in-plane switching (IPS) display and a larger Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution. The IPS panel allows for wider viewing angles while the native resolution allows the Nexus 5 to play back 1080p Full HD content without upscaling or letterboxing. The display is also a capacitive touchscreen with full support for the multi-touch gestures incorporated into the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The D820 is the North American version of the Nexus 5. It will run on any GSM network that uses cell frequencies this phone supports. However, the Nexus 5 may not work on certain CDMA carriers, such as Verizon, even if they support the same frequencies.
