Pioneer VSX-524-K Overview

Experience dynamic stereo and multi-channel sound with the Pioneer VSX-524-K 5.1-Channel AV Receiver. This model produces up to 140W of power per channel and has a subwoofer output for enhanced low frequency sound. On-board MCACC technology helps you to tailor the sound of the receiver to your listening environment. This model also decodes high-resolution audio formats like Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio for an immersive audio surround sound experience.

The Pioneer VSX-524-K is equipped with four HDMI inputs and an HDMI output for interfacing high-resolution audio and video components like Blu-ray players and streaming devices. This model also supports 1080p, 3D and 4K pass-through over HDMI. Additionally, this receiver has a front panel USB port that supports iPhone, iPod and iPad connections, as well as the playback of audio formats like MP3, WMA and AAC.

HDMI 2.0
Offering 4 HDMI 2.0 inputs, the VSX-524-K handles 4K and 1080p video at 60 frames per seconds. 4K offers four times the resolution of 1080p. HDMI 2.0 is also backwards compatible with earlier versions of HDMI. All four HDMI inputs support both 3D and 4k content. Convenience features, such as, HDMI Standby Through is also supported allowing for your sources (cable box, etc.) to pass-through the receiver to the television even when it is in standby mode.
Made for iPhone 5 Certification
The VSX-524-K's front USB input supports music playback and control for the iPhone 5 and iPad mini. Additional Apple devices are also supported for music playback, and you can even use the USB port to playback high-resolution audio files stored on thumb drives.
Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration (MCACC)
MCACC creates the optimum acoustic experience for movies and music based on your listening environment. The system, complete with custom microphone and subwoofer EQ, automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level, and distance, and equalizes the response.
Eco Mode
This Pioneer AV receiver feature an energy-saving ECO Mode that, when enabled, achieves a standby power consumption of 0.1W. With a host of convenience features, including Network Standby and HDMI CEC support, ECO Mode analyzes your sources in real time, adjusting power consumption accordingly to meet your needs. Or you can manually select the power-saving settings that are right for you.
