The Impact Soft n' Natural Kit #4 by B&H is a 3-light, comprehensive kit, created to be a lighting solution for virtually any kind of imaging-making be it e-commerce, portraiture, fashion, product or large groups. The kit contains two 24" Octa softboxes with 4-socket fixtures and 8' air-cushioned light stands and a 20 x 27.5" rectangular softbox with a 4-socket fixture and a 6' light stand. Twelve 26W spiral fluorescent lamps with a daylight color balance of 5000K are included for the fixtures.
The Impact Octa fixtures in this kit feature sturdy construction with 5/8" stand mounts, ceramic Edison sockets and multi-voltage capability. The fixtures also have rocker-switch lamp control and come with Octa softboxes with removable inner baffles and front diffusers. The light shapers display a distinct wrap-around light quality and reflect natural catchlights in your subject's eyes. They are supported by 8' air-cushioned stands that let your lights down slowly when making height adjustments to avoid damage.
Built similarly to the Octa fixtures, the included 4-lamp fixture and rectangular 20 x 27.5" softbox are ideal for head and shoulders or product photography, especially with reflective objects.
The FF-0F4 Octa 4-Socket Fluorescent Fixture from Impact is a four Edison socket base that accepts CFL fluorescents up to 85W. Individual socket rating is 105 watts. The back panel has dual rocker switches, each of which control on/off function for two lights allowing the creation of a light ratio. The FF-0F4 has a multi-voltage power supply for worldwide use (with addition of optional adapter plug) and has a standard 5/8" receiver for light stands and accessories. The FF-0F4 is meant for use with the Impact FF-OSB60 24" Octa Softbox which is purchased separately, or with a standard photo umbrella that fits through the fixture's umbrella receptacle.
The 24" FF-OSB60 Octa Softbox from Impact is an 8-sided light modifier supported by 8 flexrods which are attached to the separately purchased FF-OF4 4-socket fixture.
The Octa features a highly reflective pebbled interior and a removable front face that attaches with simple touch-fasteners. In use, it renders the signature wrap-around look that it's well known for, as well as natural circular catch-lights in your subjects eyes. This 24" Octa is made to be used with the FF-OF4 fixture and fluorescent lamps only.
This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.
The SF-32-120 Impact Spiral Fluorescent Lamp is a 32W/120V E26 medium screw-base lamp that fits Impact fixtures such as the Octacool and VA902 as well as many other lamp head brands. The lamp is daylight color balanced and has an average lamp life of 10,000 hours.
The 4 Socket Fluorescent Fixture from Impact is a lightweight fixture in a polycarbonate housing that accepts Edison-base compact fluorescent lamps up to 50W, for a four-socket total of 200W. The fixture's bracket tilts and locks into position and features a standard 5/8" receiver that mounts on any 5/8" stud or accessory, and also accepts standard photo umbrellas.
This Softbox for Fluorescent Fixtures from Impact is a 20 x 27.5" light modifier that softens the output of Impact FF-S1 and FF-S4 single- and four-socket fluorescent fixtures, as well as Impact's SF-ABRL160 Slave Flash.
Great for small to medium-size lights, the black anodized aluminum 6' Light Stand from Impact is a lightweight (1.8 lb) support that can handle gear weighing up to 4 lb and folds down to just 26.3" to easily fit in a small bag. The stand has a minimum working height of 26.3" and a stable footprint of 30". The 3-section stand has an industry-standard 5/8" top stud with 1/4"-20 threads for additional mounting options.
