Comments about Lowepro Pro Mag 2 AW Camera Shoulder Bag:
I use this bag for daily carrying one body and lenses around.
it's got one of the best interior finishings available,
but for yet another time, Lowepro has disappointed me with the limited fitting ability. I believe I will put it aside and look for another brand this time.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Mag 2 AW Camera Shoulder Bag:
I have been using this bag for the last (9) months and this is a follow-up review to the one I posted 1-19-2008. This bag is truely amazing. It holds all of my gear in the main compartment with the use of the adjustable divider system, including the following:
Nikon D300 body with
Nikon AF-S 17-55mm F/2.8 DX Lens with hood in bottom center portion of bag under the camera body/attached lens.
Nikon MB-D10 Battery Grib attached to body
Nikon AF-S 70-200mm F/2.8 VR Lens (Without hood)
Nikon AF-S 12-24mm F/4 DX Lens (Without hood)
Nikon AF 10.5mm F/2.8 DX Fisheye Lens
Nikon AF-S 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 DX VR Lens (Without hood)
Nikon AF-S TC-17E II Teleconverter
Nikon SB-800 Speedlight
Nikon MB-D10 AA Battery Pack
THIS BAG HOLD A LOT OF GEAR FOR ITS SIZE!
With the proper configuration of this bag, I also have room for future lens as follows:
Nikon AF-S 50mm F/1.4
The carrying strap with the extra padding helps distribute the load very well.
I have also added a Lowepro Hand Strap that comes with other Lowepro Shoulder Bags. I obtained this directly from Lowepro. This allows better ability to pick the bag up when the top is not zipped or buckled. You can use the shoulder strap for this purpose, but it seems a bit strange.
I also like the no-drop front pocket that also holds AA battery case, cables, lens pens, miscellaneous flat accessories and a Lowepro Folding Filter Pocket with (6) 77mm filters.
I also use (2) of the Lowepro Sliplock Pouches that attach to the sides of the bag, (1) to carry Nikon MH-18A charger and cable and (1) to carry Nikon MC-30 Shutter Release and Nikon MC-21 Extension Cord. I attach these on a as needed basis.
I have used several Tamrac Pro bags in the past, but find this Lowepro bag to be far superior in padding, organization and features.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Mag 2 AW Camera Shoulder Bag:
To me the real genius of the design is the height of the bag which makes it possible to carry two long lenses vertically, thus keeping the bag compact.
Mine carries:
Canon 5D with battery grip
Canon 70-200mm f/2.8
Canon 100-400mm f/4-5.6
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8
Canon 17-40mm f/4
Canon 50mm 1.4
Canon 1.4x extender
Plus, all of the lenses' hoods and tripod mounts, polarizing filter, cable release, cards, etc. with room to spare

Holds over-sized lens and other stuff for non-hiking situations. One of few bags to carry 70-200 Nikon 2.8

Comments about Lowepro Pro Mag 2 AW Camera Shoulder Bag:
One of very few bags that will hold a 70-200mm lens upright. With a 70-200mm lens there is still room for a pro body with a 17-55 or 24-70mm lens attached and two more loose lenses in the bag. The outer pocket is large enough to hold a large strobe and a battery pack and it has inner pockets that are good for filters and similar items.
Designed for a waist belt which helps with distributing the weight onto the hips.
Two problems to consider with this bag. First there is no flap only a zipper closure so it is slow to get inside the bag with two clips to first undo and then the zipper to pull around the two sides and front of the case. The design of the Stealth Reporter bags is greatly superior in this regard.
Interior lining materials are not the best and they tear easily. Not as durable as the other LowePro or Tamrac bags I have used in this aspect of its construction.

This bag is amazing. It holds all of my gear in the main compartment with the use of the adjustable divider system, including the following:
Nikon D300 body with
Nikon AF-S 15-55mm DX Lens with hood reversed and attached to body
Nikon MB-D10 Battery Grib attached to body
Nikon AF-S 70-200mm VR Lens (Without hood)
Nikon AF-S 105mm VR Lens (Without hood)
Nikon AF 10.5mm DX Fisheye Lens
Nikon AF-S TC-17E II Teleconverter
Nikon SB-800 Speedlight
Nikon MB-D10 AA Battery Pack
The bag does get a bit heavy, but it is holding a lot of heavy gear. The carrying strap with the extra padding helps distribute the load very well.
I also like the no-drop front pocket that also holds AA battery case, cables, lens pens, miscellaneous flat accessories and a Lowepro Folding Filter Pocket with (6) 77mm filters.

Comments about Lowepro Pro Mag 2 AW Camera Shoulder Bag:
I switched to this bag from the lowepro small backpack, and i dont regret the switch at all. This bag, although bulky, carries all of my equipment with ease. It is a fantastic bag.
Comments about Lowepro Pro Mag 2 AW Camera Shoulder Bag:
I have purchased many bags over the years and this one I find to be the most versatile. I Bought it from B&H last year and carried it through Europe. Granted I went a little heavy, 15.0 lbs at the airport scale but everything about this bag is top quality. It fit under the seat of the airplane with no serious problem.
Expertise: Started photography at age 11, have been pro and semi pro until now 63
Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Leather bags since 1962 I don't know the names. Spiritone, Lowepro, tamrac
Items I Recommend: There are several needs differ but he bag is changable.
