The B+W 67mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
The Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) is both an anti-reflection coating as well as a protective surface. It helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, it offers greater protection to the filter substrate and stays cleaner for longer than uncoated filters.
B+W filters are constructed from high quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. They feature a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

I shoot a lot of landscapes so I wanted a solid UV Haze filter. I also want to protect my lens from scratches and dirt. I have used cheaper filter in the past so i can really tell the difference with this B + W piece!

Comments about B+W 67mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter:
For me quality is a must. I have been accustomed to using Tiffen filters and Canon filters as well. I found the quality of Tiffen to be one of the best and Canon was a hit and miss situation, I have two Canon Lenses where te glass isn't fully secure. I researched a very long time to find a brand of lenses that couldn't be beat. For any average professional photographer, price and quality are usually on the top of the list. The B+W glass quality is so clear, you can't even see the glass. The materials used in they're filters are superb and very hard to beat. They're also affordable when it comes to the prices compared with other brands. B+W filters are the only ones I now use. I'm telling you... You can't beat the price and the quality! You just have to buy one and try one.

Comments about B+W 67mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter:
This is a very well made filter, which I purchased primarily for lens protection, but the quality of the glass is extremely important to me (it's pointless to buy an expensive lens only to cover it with a cheap filter). Upon receipt, I immediately took two shots of the same scene: one without the filter and one with the filter. The quality of both shots was impeccable. Excellent glass! You can't go wrong with this filter.

Comments about B+W 67mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter:
Filter or no filter. Bit like discussing politics or religion. To each his/her own. Personally the added protection from the elements is a plus. Rather clean the filter than the actual lens element. Image processing may deal to a certain level with haze when it's an issue. Prefer to start with a cleaner image.
The B+W F-Pro filters have been the only filters I've used since converting from 35mm film to mu43 digital format. For +3 decades of shooting 35mm format B+W has been the filter brand of choice. B+W's consistent quality through the decades keeps me a loyal customer. Low profile brass ring, quality threads, excellent glass & coatings. F-pro model is worth the few extra dollars.

I use UV Haze MRC 010M filters by B+W for all my lenses. They're great filters for protecting the lens front element from seaspray or geothermal activity at Yellowstone Natl Park. These filters do not degrade the image quality.

provides protection for the more expensive lens without causing any distortion. Since it also cuts through the haze somewhat, you also get clearer photos with better color

Comments about B+W 67mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter:
The filter was purchased for protecting the lens of a Canon SX40HS camera. It does this extreamly well because the MRC coating really does work. Dust, dirt and fingerprints are a thing of the past, and the filter has remained clean during two separate trips. The filter bezel is low enough that it does not cause any vignetting. Filter build quality is excellent and the glass is flawless. No distortion has been observed in pictures taken with it on the camera. Highly recomended. And, no, I do not work for B+W.

Comments about B+W 67mm UV Haze MRC 010M Filter:
I use these filters as protection for my lenses (along with the hoods). I was recently shooting at a street fair when I stopped for lunch. As I was putting my D7000 with 70-300 VR away I noticed the filter was shattered. I have no idea how it happened, but if the same damage had happened to the lens it would have been a much bigger bummer.
That kind of damage hasn't happened to me before, but when I visit the coast and see what the salt spray can do, I like having my lenses protected at all times. The filter can be removed from the lens and washed.
The optical and mechanical quality is excellent.

Bought to use on my Canon 70 -300 f.4 -5.6 L IS USM. If you're going to use "L" quality glass, be sure to put an equally high quality filter in front of it.

This filter had some small defects in the coating. B&H sent out a new one immediately. I returned the first filter and am waiting for the refund credit. I have used BW F-Pro filters for lens protection for many years and this is the first one I have seen that had any flaws.

Needed some protection for my new 70x300l. I tend to bump into things a lot so a good filter gives me comfort, and I never could see the difference in my shots with or without.
