I've been using these DVC Tapes for years.
I use them both in my personal equipment as well as for professional applications. I do allot of work for a small cable access station that has used this particular tape stock for use with The Panasonic DVX-100A&B. Our work flow consists of Recording to tape, capturing in Final Cut Via a Sony DSR-11 DV Deck, and setting the tape on a shelf for storage. Once captured we rarely have to go back to the original media and therefore do little scrubbing. I would imagine that constant scrubbing would probably result in drop outs with any level of Mini DV tape. But in the work flow that we use (with periodic use of a head cleaning cassette's) i have never seen a drop out or had an issue with this tape stock.
I wouldn't recommend reusing these tape more than once (or any mini dv media for that matter). This tape stock is probably best used to record once through, capturing, and setting on the shelf in case you ever need to go back to it.
I recently bought a batch of these tapes for use with my personal HDV Canon HV30, and intend to use them consistently as my sole tape stock due to their inexpensiveness and relatively good quality.

Have had only a few drop-outs, and some of those may be camera-related (usually on an old Canon XL1). One annoyance is when I shoot on the boss's Canon and capture using my Sony DSR11 deck, FCP constantly loses time code and stops. I have to instead capture using my Panasonic HVX200, and even then there are some dropped frames. Shooting and capturing from the HVX200 yields much better results. Can't beat the price, and I haven't seen quality difference between this and the discontinued Excellence series.

These tapes work the best in all my video cameras I use for my Outdoor TV show and weddings.
I get very little fall out or non at all. Plus they play back perfectly where some of the other company tapes don't.

Comments about Sony DVM-60PR Premium Mini DV Cassette (60 Minute):
Being a videographer for an industrial product company I have to film everything; meetings, tutorials, products, etc. And I shoot in every way from a simple point and shoot quick thing to a full on production set up with lights and the works. I always get these tapes and they never let me down. I'm not always right by my studio and I can't take a tons of backup tapes so I need to rely on tapes that work the first time without any hitches, so far these haven't failed me yet. I film in HD for most things and the quality is true from tape to tape and even when I reuse a tape on the rare occasion. Nothing bad to say...quality tapes that always work and perform great.

Remove the tape before it reaches its end.
usually last five minitues recording having probelem with audio and video. it is better to remove the tape from the camcorder before it reaches its ends(last 5 minitues) otherwise it will damage your camcorder.

Comments about Sony DVM-60PR Premium Mini DV Cassette (60 Minute):
I use the tapes for professional use. I have used more expensive Sony tapes, but after using these I don't see myself going back. I do not re-use the tapes most of the time, but I have reused some in the past. The quality from re-use seems to hold up over multiple uses. But I would recommend one time use.

Used in my Canon GL-2 in advanced amateur service since I got it several years ago. Never a problem. Video quality super. Too bad it's only 60 minutes long but not a major problem in my enterprise.
