Manfrotto Convertible Boom Stand Reviews

Not bad, but not great

Considering the brand, I was expecting it to be a bit more sturdy. I can't say that it feels flimsy, but it as does have a noticeable amount of flex/wobble if you put even just 2-3lbs in the boom position (counterweights are a must). That said, at least all the knobs and such feel durable enough for you to crank down hard and tighten them w/o making you think you might strip something. One note, keep in mind that the height of the boom position is not 12', that is just the max height if you use the boom section vertically. It's fine for my needs, but might not work for others.

Great reach from this Boom stand. Holds the Nanlite Forza 300 with a Parabolic 120 Softbox. Easy to use. Sturdy AF.
