This background was just was I was looking for. It fits perfectly on a folding card table for quick setup and tear down. I'm using it mainly to shoot pottery, and it's holding up great. It's easy to clean and store. The only problem is that it tends to curl on edges from being rolled. I used paperweights and clips to hold it in place. I plan on purchasing other colors in the future.

It is unbelievable how this background improved the way my handmade pottery photos come out. The quality of the background itself is top notch. The shipping was very fast and I don't have one bad thing to say about the product or B&H. I see myself as a customer for life!

I am a ceramic artist who photographs her own sculptures for exhibitions, publicity, etc. The Flotone background paper has EXPONENTIALLY increased the quality of my shots, without having to invest in a soft box. My work looks professional, and all my shots now have a uniform background. I hope to be able to get more shows with these shots.

Just be careful not to scratch the paper when moving objects on or off it.

Being a woodturning hobbist and not a photographer, this was just what I needed to get much better photo's. I was never able to get a good background until I uses this Graduated background.

I have just started using this product to take pictures of my pottery and so far I am very happy with the results. The quality of the paper is great my photographs look awesome. I am being very careful when using it to not scratch the paper no problems so far nothing bad to say great product!

I take photos to post on my Etsy and I wanted a graduated background that would be easy to use in my set up and not too expensive. The material is sturdy and the background is perfect for my needs. As other reviewers have noted it is possible to scratch the background, but I was able to open the package and set this up in my home made light box with no damage. The photos I have taken with this background are great - very happy with the outcome.

I love the flotone backdrop. I use it to shoot professional quality photographs of my ceramic work and it makes it so easy. No more messing with lighting or hours on photoshop to make them look great, just set up, point, shoot, and you have fantastic photos. It is very portable and easy to set up and the gradient is of great quality. Be careful not to scratch it as it does scratch easily, but as long as you're careful you can be sure it will last for a long time.[...]

I bought this background for photographing my husband's wood turnings. Though much a novice in the photography arena, I have been extremely pleased with the outcome of the photos I have taken using this background. I still have a little bit of work to do on the lighting aspect, but the background is beautiful. I love the sturdiness of the material and the smoothness of the gradation.

I purchased the background based on another user's review (somewhere on the Internet) that specifically noted that they were an experienced photographer . . . and found the Flotone product superior to other manufacturers.

I would definitely recommend this item to anyone else looking for a flawless gradated background.

I'll give this background a five stars. It's washable with water, and even Clorox bleach. It is fairy easy to cut, but seem durable enough to wash with cloth. Only con would be it "curls up" other then that, I'm 100% happy with this background.

I'm a metalsmith and studio jeweler and I photograph my own work. I don't do photoshop so I need professional looking backgrounds that give me the highend look I need for jury photos. The first time I bought this background I I didn't think about the mounting and care of it and my cats got up in the photo booth I had set up. It got scratched up pretty bad. I decided to buy one and do a better job of taking care of it. I've mounted (staple gun) the top edge to 3/4" x 2" strip of wood; to the back of that, I made some hanging 'brackets'. I then mounted a smaller strip of wood across the bottom edge as well. Now I use the hanging 'brackets' to hang the background in my photo booth and then I move it to another spot so that it freely hangs against a wall so my cats can't walk across it. It's easy brush off dust with a paint brush and if I accidently make a light mark on it, I can wipe that off with a damp cloth! A lot less expanseive than a fancy photography computer program that's time consuming and difficult to learn.

I use it for photographing ceramics, small artworks, and products for sale. Even with a cobbled together set up in my bathroom with only diffused daylight and no light stands, with this backdrop, the images still look classy and professional. I've only owned it for less than a month, so can't comment on durability, but have used it quite a bit and take good care of it (like lifting ceramics pieces when moving them to avoid scratching). My only thought is that I might get a larger backdrop when I start to photograph dinner ware sets.

Great Product that will make small object photos stand out. [...]. I hear it can be scratched so I usually use a cloth to pad objects. Definetly is better than a paper background. I can clean it which is a major plus.
