I Use This Drive As A Back For Video Projects (4K Footage In 1080 Timelines). I’ve Found It To Be Quiet And Reliable. If I Find A Need To Edit Off Of The Drive To Make A Video Revision Its Speed Is Adequate With No Dropped Frames. I’ve Also Got 3 Other 24TB Versions Of This Drive That I Have Used Over The Past Years With No Issues.

At this price point, I expected a lot better

I got this thinking that for the price, it would be a well built dual drive hub that will serve me for a like, 4 years before I'd maybe need to change it. But the first drive I got failed immediately. Luckily B&H took it back and sent me a new one right away, and B&H paid for the shipping. But the second one came in, and it had a funny noise every time the drives spooled down. I sent a video of the noise to Glyph, and they said they would replace the 2nd unit but because of my geographic location I had to pay for shipping. Well, let me see if they could fix the problem. I finally got the third unit after about a month from the first purchase, and I'm still hearing the noise (which I guess is just the drives being themselves). But the unit has been randomly un-mounting itself.. like, just falling off in Finder from MacOS without warning. Luckily I don't plan do do production on this HDD (it's to hold all the media) but at this price point I had expectations that it would just work and it doesn't. I did give it one extra star from what I originally thought because their support was top notch, so at least while it's under warranty I know they are supportive. But that's not for a very long time.
