I just put it on the lens and forgot about it; and it is a great way to also protect the expensive lens from scratches, dings or finger prints (common when you try to put the lens cap on with your thumb and finger).

Just Okay
I noticed a defect in the glass[...]It's not a scratch, but a small iridescent spot. Otherwise, I think the filter would be just fine.

Comments about Hoya 77mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Haze Multi-Coated Glass Filter:
All I can say about this product is it does what its job. UV filter is basically for Ultra Violet but for me and most of us out there buy this product to serve as an additional protection to our lense. I cant see too much difference of this brand from my other filter but I know Hoya is one of the best brand out there.

This is the first Hoya I have bought. I have purchased other brands from Best Buy and the are what you pay for ...cheap. The Hoya is much nicer and better quality glass.

Thin and very light, not seen distortion in the image. Was kind of tricky to thread the first time not sure if it was the lens or the filter.

This is a high quality filter and worthly of high end lenses. I have them on both an 70-200mm f/2.8 and a 24-70mm f/2.8 Canon lenses. No demonstrable reduction to the image quality is visible on images taken with either lens. Very good -:)
