Comments about Hoya 52mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Super Multi-Coated (S-HMC) Glass Haze Filter:
Screws on easily. I would not say it improves image quality on digital photography.. rather it just doesn't degrade quality like other UV filters I've experimented with. Very happy with it in that my lens feels protected but I am not losing image quality. Rugged and well built and I am in the process of replacing all my UV's with this.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Super Multi-Coated (S-HMC) Glass Haze Filter:
I am a huge fan of Hoya filters. They always seem to work the best for me, and this one is no exception. You can definitely tell the difference in quality between these S-HMC filters and Hoya's lower level filters. For that alone, I would recommend to anyone looking for a standard UV filter to spend a little more on the Hoya S-HMC filter rather than trying to save a few bucks. Remember your lens image quality is only as good as the worst piece of glass from filter to sensor. This works well for protection, but the real key is that it works fantastically to cut down on hazing and potential artifacts from UV light.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Super Multi-Coated (S-HMC) Glass Haze Filter:
I paired this with an 18-55mm VR lens, and keep the filter on full time. It was easy to screw on, and does a great job adding an extra layer of protection and also allows you to not have to mess with getting a lens cap off when it's time to shoot!

Comments about Hoya 52mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Super Multi-Coated (S-HMC) Glass Haze Filter:
I use UV filters as lens protectors. Because it transmits truly almost all incident light and has almost no reflections, and of course is made of high quality optical glass, this filter does that job with extremely minimal, if any, adverse effects on image quality. Can't ask for more than that.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Super Multi-Coated (S-HMC) Glass Haze Filter:
It's a protective filter for me, and it does its job. Overall I'm happy with it. I have no idea if the super multi-coating is doing anything for me, but it is a bit harder to clean. I knew that going into it, and it's not bad.
All in all a file filter.

I use it to protect the lens on my Lumix 14 to 45mm zoom lens.
A decent price for a quality filter. Hoya has really improved their filter's quality, almost as good as a B+W but for less money. The Pro1 DF Series is better than an older Hoya filter I have.

I use these S-HMC filters on my Canon 1.8mm. Build quality is very high - the actual lens is held securely onto the housing. The filter does what it's made for and you have peace of mind that your lense is protected by a high quality accessory.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Ultraviolet UV(0) Super Multi-Coated (S-HMC) Glass Haze Filter:
A little less expensive than some coated filters, and easier to keep clean. Some coated filters seem to attract smudges and fingerprints, this one is at least easier to clean.
