I bought this for a very large and heavy Horseman 8x10 studio camera mounted on a Manfrotto 516 head. I had a smaller QR plate before, but I felt it was not too secure. With the 357Long Pro plate the camera sits rock solid and can be mounted and dismounted more easily than with the smaller plate.

No it will not, it's too wide. The only plate designed to work with the MVH500AH head is the 500PLONG.
