Ilford Antistaticum Anti-Static Cloth - 13 x 13"
The Ilford Antistaticum Anti-Static Cloth is a specially treated orange cloth that eliminates dust and static, and is indispensable when it comes to cleaning photographic negatives and prints.
This cloth is ideal when cleaning negatives and slides for scanning, or CD and DVD surfaces.
Dimensions: 13 x 13"
Note: should not be used to clean lenses as it is treated and will streak in some cases.

I used the Ilford Antistaticum anti-static cloth to remove dust particles from photographs prior to mounting and framing. I also used it to reduce static on plexiglass glazing. It works like magic: it picks up fine dust and dirt and reduces the annoying "static cling" of plastic surfaces--you know, when you clean with a normal rag, a surface looks clean and then the next minute, it pulls new dust toward itself. The Ilford cloth stops this process, so you just have to clean surfaces once. It's also very soft and does not leave scratches like paper or terry-cloth towels. It's not just the best choice: it's the ONLY choice.

Anyone who has scanned photos and specially negatives in large dpi settings has noticed that "invisible" specs and fibers will become very visible, requiring post scanning cleanup. Using a standard cloth will compound the problem. The Ilford anti-static does the job well, removing over 90% of dust and fibers.
