I've had this bag for about two years now. All in all it's an awesome bag for the price. There's tons of room for your camera, lenses and accessories. For a majority of the time I carried my 20d and five lenses around in this bag with no problem at all. I now carry my 40d with the same lenses and flash with-out any problems. There's not many configurations you can make with the removable dividers, but it works. The padding is more than sufficient. I've watch my bag, full of equipment, fall from a boulder easily 15' high on to several other large rocks and not damage a thing. Completely full my bag weighs at least 32 lbs! There are a couple of things that I would have liked to have known before I bought it, but after having used the bag they wouldn't change my mind. It's not completely water proof. I've been in many a rain storms and wet locations, and in the worst of'em I've had to remove everything from the bag and let them dry out. Nothing too crazy, but if your someone who'd freak if your camera got a little wet, this bag isn't for you. Another problem I've found is the zipper. There's two, one on each side of the main compartment. One of them gave out about a year after I bought it. I've been able to use the other one to close it for now, but I think it's only a matter of time before that one goes. They should have made it a little bigger and stronger, but it'd probably also make the bag a little more expensive. I think it'd still be worth the extra cash. Another problem, depending on your specific situation, is the tripod straps. If you have a big, heavy and expensive tripod like me you can forget about using them. First, attaching the tripod to one side of the bag wears on your back and hips (too much weight on one side). Second, the heavier tripod tears the plastic brackets that hold the straps, eventually making them completely useless (including the ones on the bottom of the bag). I prefer to slip one of the legs of my tripod over the lower end of one of the shoulder straps so it hangs by my waist. It's still lopsided, but not too bad. Other then those three problems this bag is great. I'm looking for a new bag, and I think I might actually just buy another one of these. If you're looking for a good bag at a good price this is it.

Note to B&H: Put some more photos of this bag online. Similar to the set-up you have for the other bags you sell. Show some of the inside pockets, and the breathable back pad. I think it'd help with the sales.

A great price for a name-brand back-pack. Comfortable main shoulder harnesses; perhaps too many dangling straps (I removed 2 and plan on removing additional straps). Color is ok (though I would have preferred black or red).

Easy to move the compartments around for a custom fit. I wish that the top of the pack had more padding for the camera itself and it seems like there should be a cushion to protect the LCD (it's close to the zipper). All that money on a camera, want to be certain to protect it.

Lots of room for additional accessories. I have the T2i and standard lens, additional lens, flash, cords, cards, etc. with plenty of room to spare. When loaded, the pack seems heavier than a side bag. Would love this if it was a side/shoulder sling (again, too many straps). Perhaps it's made more for rough hiking, but padding doesn't seem appropriate for that. Never used the 2 straps across the chest (more dangling straps) and do we REALLY need 2 shoulder straps, a strap across your chest AND a strap across the waist?

Have found that the tripod/monopod straps under the bag(s) (also on the Canon T1i kit bag) make carrying through doorways and public places cumbersome, not to mention noisy when setting bags down . Full bag weight is on the only unprotected equipment (hope your not fond of that new monopod, because it will take a beating). I left mine home and removed the straps. Bag looks and feels cleaner.

Was hoping the bag was a bit smaller for run-and-go. Bag would be REALLY heavy if I purchase additional equipment.

Had no use for the outside cargo straps (maybe someone could put a rain poncho here)? Cell phone fits nicely in the side pocket and is easily accessible. Small pockets for SD are nice, but I like to keep mine in plastic protective sleeves (these won't fit), so they are pretty but not useful.

Top carrying handle is nice and I find myself using it frequently.

Would love the bag, if it had the camera in a separate, easily accessible compartment. If I unzip the bag from the top, I need to be careful not to unzip too far, as the equipment will fall out. You can avoid this by just setting bag down horizontally, but that isn't always easy or clean, especially in public places. Would be great to have the bottom and back water-resistant for such instances.

I know, a lot of griping, but for the price, it is a great bag. I would probably have preferred a $100 bag, but this fits the bill for the price. Can always use with our video camera equipment when I tire of this one.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I have a Canon 40D and a 24-105 lens, a Manfrotto Tripod, a 580 EX II flash and strive to take good pictures. I did not have a decent camera bag to hold this equipment and the rental lenses I use. While there are really superb bags, and since I am not the quintessential "pro", I wanted something that gave me a decent value for money when I noticed this sale - that allowed me to safely carry all of my equipment easily. I have been able to arrange my equipment easily, with plenty of room to spare for more lenses. It is well built, water resistant, and fits snugly as a backpack as well. Has the right pouches for filters, that I now use to carry quick reference cards :). Overall, an excellent value for the money.

I purchased this camera bag as I was in need of a bigger bag to hold my camera gear that would be more comfortable than what I had. It comfortably and securely fits my dslr, 3 lenses, all my accessories and still has room left. Everything is well secured and easily accessible for when I need to reach my camera quickly. It has a secure strap for a tripod which comes in handy.

One downfall is the bag is a little smaller than I expected. Other than that, I love the camera bag.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I bought the Canon 200EG Deluxe Backpack because out of all the bags with this amount of space and compartments, this was the best deal. Although the low price, the usefulness of the bag is not sacrificed. I use this bag to hold my Canon T2i, 3 lenses, my 430ex flash, and many other miscellaneous accessories. There are plenty of pockets throughout the bag to hold everything you need in specific spots. The dividers in the main compartment come out easily to change the configuration of the bag. Although they come out easy, they stay in well and are not loose.

However, the construction of the bag is not the best. The liner that separates the smaller lens compartments is a bit flimsy. They are not attached to the bag, so there is space underneath them. The backpack straps are a little weak, but they can hold up. The main problem is the material of all the straps. It is a weak nylon material that will wear down, rip, or tear easily. Also, there is no place for a tripod on the bag.

Overall, this is a great bag for the average photo enthusiast. There is plenty of space for everything you can carry, and more. Despite the weak material of some components, i would definitely reccomend this bag to a friend. The Canon 200 EG Deluxe Backpack is one of the best deals i have seen in a long time!

I bought this camera bag for my wife before our Disney trip. It arrived just in time (B&H's quick shipping is to thank for that!) for the trip, and I'm very thankful it did. I bought this bag to carry our new Canon t3i with our extra 55-250 lens. It is perfect! The adjustable velcro pieces make it a breeze making perfect sized compartments. I saw other bags at the same price or even more expensive that can't compare. I would most definitely recommend to others!

I have a Canon EOS 1ds Mark II and a Canon 60D. The cameras and associated lenses and gear fit safely and snuggly without issue. Even though it is light and small, it stores and protects quite a bit of gear. There are some nice big storage pockets as well that have places for cable releases, cards, filters, flashes etc. Don't put anything in the side pockets though. They close with velcro but small things can still fall out. This is my second Canon backpack. The old one is about 6 years old with fairly consistant use and is still good. It has even survived some rough outings in the remote Alaskan wilderness. You can't beat this bag for the price. It is one of the few things that you can buy as a pro/semi photographer where you find yourself saying, it should cost more that this. Hopefully Canon doesn't pick up on that and raise the price!

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

Inexpensive and great quality. Doesn't usually go hand in hand. But on this one it does. Bag is very spacious and can hold a lot of stuff. My only grouse is that it get's difficult to take out the cam when the bag is fully loaded.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I traveled from Florida to Peru with this backpack and it was perfect on all levels. It protected my equipment, fit perfectly under my airplane seat, and although not bulky had plenty of room for all my camera accessories and lenses and some. While in Peru it also made for a great traveling backpack for general use.

I needed a light weight back pack to carry my equipment around in for an outdoor photo shoot. This one is doing the trick! There are a lot of small pockets to carry all the little extras along that you may need. I have only had it a few weeks but am enjoying it! It was a big upgrage from my smaller one that wouldn't even fit 2 lenses. I can carry everything I need in the Canon! It holds my camera, 2 lenses and flash with room to spare!

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

Canon just never disappoints me... my big Canon Bag was more than full with my EOS Film Camera and I knew the EOS 7D would quickly need a lot more space for my ever growing list of lenses and accessories. This will be the route I follow as I continue to add future Camera models!

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I was looking for a backpack, and didnt want to pay a fortune. When i saw that canon makes a backpack i knew it was going to be excellent quality. And when i got it I was very pleased with my purchase. Has enough room for my Canon EOS t3i with battery grip and 18-135mm lens, has space for my flash, and has at least 3 spaces for lenses, or even another dslr.

                              Great product!!

I use the backpack for canon t2i and for my lens. The backpack is a great buy and can be adjusted at time to fit the needs of the equipment that you will bring bring whether is additional lens, batteries, a flash or two or a spare camera. So far i cant find anything wrong with it.
