When trying to secure a very light LED spot to this, the thin metal bent and broke off. This was the first time using the unit. Time and money better spent elsewhere.

this shoe mount is light weight, simple to use, and does it's job. since it is metallic, I put a tape on the bottom to prevent any risk of short circuiting the flash's connectors but otherwise it's pretty straightforward. It has a 1/4-20 thread hole at the bottom to connect to a triptod, or in my case the Manfrotto 026 SWIVEL UMBRELLA ADAPTER
