Comments about Hakuba HG-503MX Carbon Fiber 3-Section Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
I love this tripod, at the studio that I assist for they use Magfiber, and Gitzo tripods as well as a studio stand. I have to say that the Hakuba feels more solid than the Magfiber and can hold more also. I currently use a D700 with pocket wizard and 24-70mm for this set up and it feels rock solid. The only qualm I have with this tripod is with the head, but if your going to buy a carbon tripod, your most likely just interested in the legs and not the head. The head can be easily replaced with a ball head or whatever you choose. All in all, for the price and the quality, no question its worth it.

Comments about Hakuba HG-503MX Carbon Fiber 3-Section Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
This is more than I need to properly support my Canon D5 MK II but I wasn't compromising to lower priced tripods. It's worth every extra penny.......I don't have to worry the telescoping legs as compared to those poorly designed plastic clip lock that always break on most of the standard tripod designs.
Really sturdy..........It works great!

Comments about Hakuba HG-503MX Carbon Fiber 3-Section Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
This tripod is used with a Canon T2i. I have had no issues w/this tripod. It is quite lightweight, stable and is of good quality.
The pan-head has been fine, but I may try out a ball-head in the future.
Very happy with this purchase.

Comments about Hakuba HG-503MX Carbon Fiber 3-Section Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
Steady support for Nikon D90 and 400mm f/5.6 lens (just under 5 lbs. total weight). No problem with long exposure night shots either. Haven't yet tried it out under windy conditions, but so far so good.

Lightweight, solidly built and sturdy tripod. Use it with a RRS BH-25 for traveling. A good value and half the price of the Gitzo!

Comments about Hakuba HG-503MX Carbon Fiber 3-Section Tripod with 3-Way Pan Head:
I really like the 503 because it's has a wide range of height adjustments and at the same time it's light weight, thanks to the carbon fiber.
I'm actually using for video with a Bogen HDV 701 head and a Canon HV30. I'm quite happy with this light weight streamline set up.
The main thing I would like to see change is the bubble level. The level itself is fine, but it doesn't glow in the dark. Still well worth it for the money.
