Gives us a lot more control when lighting scenes. Most of our lights come from fairly small sources. We rig this between c-stands or light stands with clamps and give us much broader source of light.
Inexpensive way to make a lrge diffusion pannel

This is nice diffusion material, it's a little less diffusion than a shoot through umbrella, but it's an inexpensive way to make a large diffused light source. I hange it over a home made cross bar on 2 light stands. Depending on what I'm after I either use bare lighs or shoot through umbrellas behind it. The edges are unsewed, but it's ripstop nylon to it will only frey to the next cord.

The manufacture does not have that information as to how much light it blocks. A good guess is 1-2 stops.

Is there any velcro? or elastic web strap corners, like the Calumet diffusion panels? Or is it plain cloth and you have to sew on your own velcro or elastric corner straps? thanks!
Plain cloth, no Velcro or elastic. Would consider purchasing again. Solid soft diffusion material for a range of uses.

are the corners plain cloth? or is there any velcro or elastic? My calumet diffusion panels had stretchy elastic cloth on the corners... or are there grommets like the Matthews scrims?
Corners are plain cloth, there are no finishings, elastic, velcro, anything, just plain nylon material.
