The Marshall V-LCD8-PRO is a 7.9-inch (diagonal) LCD monitor with composite and S-video with loop-throughs. Suitable for camera mounting, production vehicles, and field monitoring, the unit has a bright output that can be easily viewed even in daylight conditions.
Input and Output Signals
The V-LCD8-PRO takes both composite (BNC) and S-video, both with loop-through. The power supply connector locks the cable to the monitor so accidental disconnection should not occur.
Slim and Lightweight Design
Though the V-LCD8-PRO is not easily adaptable to battery power (Marshall doesn't mention this option), it can still work effectively in portable studio configurations. The monitor can be mounted atop most video cameras and camcorders because it weighs less than 2 pounds and it is only 1 1/2 inches deep. Possible mounting solutions include an optional shoe adapter or flex arm with a 1/4-20 screw. Power comes from its DC transformer/power supply the V-PS12-3.3.
Picture Controls and Automatic Video Standard Recognition
Without flipping a switch, the V-LCD8-PRO knows when the video signal is NTSC or PAL and displays both in bright and vivid colors. Additionally, the unit has on-screen menu access for the following parameters:
