Sony BCT-RM Portable AC Charger - for M Series Lithium-Ion Batteries
Sony offers a BCT-RM AC Adapter / Charger that provides your camcorder with continuous power. This charger is for recharging the M Series Lithium-Ion battery. It is very lightweight and can be easily stored away in case you have to travel. Sony's adapter offers constant power for long video shoots or while transferring footage to a PC.

This is a great affordable alternative if you lost or need to replace a damaged AC Adapter. It's small which makes it more portable then the Adapter. The one con of the AC Charger is that you cannot be recording while you are charging the battery, but I have a second battery so this does not effect me.

I use this most often in between shoots and on set. It's a nice insurance to have in case the dreaded drained battery rears it ugly head. You really don't want to be stuck with all your pieces in place and then you have no charged batteries or no alternate way of recharging. It's small, compact and fits right into a small front pouch of my camera bag.

I couldn't live without this charger. It's so handy both for charging camera batteries at home and in the car while on the road. Only thing not so great is that the plug is only for USA and the adapter makes it a bit unstable (falls over) when plugging into a wall socket.

Obviously this is way smaller than the original charger that came with the camera, and you also don't need to worry about cables. However, keep in mind that charging times increase. So, this is really an overnight charger and not a quick, before you go out and shoot, charger.

This charger is a delight. It offers ninety percent of the power of its bigger siblings at about half their size. Add the "foldable" connectors and you have a real space saver.

This is cheaper than the charger for the HVL-20DW2 video light. So I bought the HVL-20DMA and M series battery instead. It works so far. It's small and easy to carry around. I haven't used it enough to find out how quickly it charges the battery. I don't think it does it too quickly though.
