For [$], I'm surprised this monopod doesn't sell out more often. It's sturdy and works great. I've attached the Manfrotto 3229 head with the RC2 quick release plate, and have one great setup. Sure there are more expensive monopods, but I don't see the need. This 'pod holds up my Canon 5D with my heavy 70-200mm 2.8 lens without a blink. Highly recommended.

Never seen a name-brand monopod at this sort of weight and price. Well constructed, made in Italy.
Use it with a swivel head and a tripod ring to carry my 70-200/2.8 lens.
Be aware of the non-standard thread. It is designed to attached directly to a camera (in which case you cannot swivel the camera) or to a very small selection of specialized heads.
With my 2lb lens + body, it is pushing the stability of this monopod. It is best used for very light SLR or ultra-light solid state video equipment.
If you need something more sturdy that has a standard thread, and can afford to carry more weight - consider other alternatives.

Comments about Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging 676B Digi Monopod:
I borrowed this model from a friend and liked it enough to buy myself one. It is compact and light weight compared to my tri-pod. Works great where a tri-pod is too big and in the way. Holds my camera steady and easily adjusts for horizontal or vertical pictures. If you are looking for a modest priced monopod - go for it. I've dropped it a few times and it seems to be holding up fine.

Comments about Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging 676B Digi Monopod:
This four section light-weight monopod is a great improvement over some of Manfrotto's older monopods. It really holds the weight that it was supposed to. The fliplock clamps really hold and the cost is bearable. I can't really say anything that could be wrong with it.
The black anodized metal is good for being outdoors when you don't want to distract wildlife.

Used with the 234RC SWIVEL TILT HEAD/QCK REL (3229)and my canon 5D it's great for good camera mobility for model shoots with sharpness way beyond what you would expect for hand held shots.

I picked this monopod after reading other reviews. It is exactly what I wanted - light weight without a huge cost. I carry it attached to a sling bag while skiing or hiking. It is easy to open and close and attach to my DSLR with 70 - 200 lens, even in cold weather on the side of a ski hill. I did change the wrist strap and added a quick release latch.

Comments about Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging 676B Digi Monopod:
The 676B Digi Monopod has been a huge help to my photography. It allows me to have steadiness comparable to a tripod and flexibility comparable to handholding. Now, I'm not sure how I ever got along without it. My photos are more often in focus in low light situations, but not hindered by immobilization.

I walked through Patagonia for three weeks with this monopod as both my monopod and a collapsible walking stick the entire time. It was never designed for that, of course, and the bottom plastic part rubbed through, but it works perfectly. The most I put on it was a 1D MkII and a 70-200 F4 and I didn't have any complaints. Well worth the money.
The only problem is the strap. It keeps coming undone, but it's nothing that a little gaffers tape can't fix.

Comments about Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging 676B Digi Monopod:
This monopod was just what I needed. I've been photographing my boys sporting events for years either handheld or with a tripod. I finally decided to get a monopod and I'm glad I did. This monopod is lightweight, easy to use and small enought to fit in my chair bag for transportation. I usually use my Canon 5D with a 70-200 lens and this monopod carries them with a sturdy feel. Now I just walk up and down the field, stop and start shooting. No trying to find something to steady myself on or opening a clunky tripod. I'm delighted with the Digi Monopod by Bogen.

Comments about Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging 676B Digi Monopod:
I use it as an extension to get very high or very low shots where it is just the camera attached and set either on remote or timer. It is a bit longer than I planned but still works well. The only poor thing on it is the strap, which is just not well designed and keeps coming undone.

I had this monopod recommended to me by many photographer friends. I bought it and used it for a wedding and for a night photography shoot. Not as stable as a tripod (of course) so you can't get AS long of exposures, but it worked wonderfully for my needs. (Needed smaller and more compact support.) Definitely worth the $$.

Clean smooth operation. The strap is useless. It would have been better had they included a step-up bushing, but you can't have everything.

This lightweight monopod stores easily, opens with unbelievable ease, and is used almost everytime I am not using a tripod. Had one for three years when the opening clasp on one leg broke. Too late for warranty, so I purchased another as I can't shoot without it.

Comments about Manfrotto by Bogen Imaging 676B Digi Monopod:
This Bogen monopod is very light and compact, but also very solid in use. Unlike my Bogen tripod, it is very quick to set up and use - and delivers 90% of the functionality of the tripod with 30% of the bulk and weight. I also use it as a sturdy walking stick when scrambling to those tricky perches to get the shot. I have used it to support my EF 100-400 lens with full confidence and superb results, even as a "stabilizer" while tracking moving targets.
