I think that videographers around the world acknowledge the indisputable quality of Sennheiser products, and this system is no exception, its a great wireless solution because you have 2 separate lavalier mics, that you can use at the same time,(using different frequences)or you can use the handheld mic with its transmiter and a lavalier mic. It will also give you the great advantage of turning you regular boom mic into a wireless one using the unique xlr transmiter,(the one used for the handheld mic). Al the accesories are right. for example, the horseshoe mount accessory, it supports the 2 receivers on camera, that way you can have both mics, or you can have one receiver and your on-camera light. If you need to solve your audio problems for field production, this is an excellent option. I´m already considering buying a second set.

A great wireless mic in a compact kit. Great for video work in the field. With both transmitter and receiver made with metal pieces they stay in good shape when taken care of.

I have 2 of these and use them in a small time production company. The audio quality is great and they are fairly simple to use. Compared to some of the other brands, Sennheiser far exceeds the audio quality.

Used this product outdoors, with the transmitter more than 150ft up in a tree, we had perfect sound, no static and no range problems encountered. Perhaps Chris was indoors and / or near strong sources of Hf interference of some sort? Its a great product, and I'm ordering a second set now.
Add a Fluffy or Foam to the mike.

Comments about Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 Series - Wireless Microphone Combo (B / 626 - 662MHz):
I've recently bought two sets of these wireless mics (one "A" frequency and one "B") for use in Los Angeles. They never have a problem finding a clear frequency.
One thing to note, the microphones that come with the units are not the best, and are lapel use only. For that reason, I purchased Tram microphones that can be easily hidden under clothing for narrative shoots.
IMHO... these are the best thing you can get for under $700. Lectrosonics might be the best... but I got tired of renting for hundreds... when I could own for nearly the same amount.

Comments about Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 Series - Wireless Microphone Combo (B / 626 - 662MHz):
I purchased the Evolution G2 combo for multiple applications, mostly interviews and weddings. The 3 interviews I have used it on thus far have sounded great! The sensitivity on the lav transmitter is very high - I had to turn it down 4 clicks. It is pretty easy to use and the available channel scan is awesome.

I use a couple of these mics for wedding videos. The sound quality is excellent and I love the flexibility of using either the lav, the handheld mic, or taking the output of a sound system and sending it wirelessly to my cameras. The battery status indicator and other functions are easy to use and helpful.

Comments about Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 Series - Wireless Microphone Combo (B / 626 - 662MHz):
This system is perfect for amateurs/prosumers who want to get good sound. It may fall short of systems costing four times as much, but that's okay. It's a great, reliable system.
