This rolling stand is a great idea to mount a 19 monitor where space was limited cables all over the floor early movable to watch dailies or live broadcasts.

When using for light gear, can the legs be pulled in a bit more to say 30" footprint?

Yes, but it won't roll as well.

Are the wheels on this stand large enough to roll ...

Are the wheels on this stand large enough to roll on an artificial turf field or in grass on level ground?
Asked by: DARIN
In our opinion, the Avenger Roller Stand 29 with Low Base (Chrome-plated, 9.5') (B&H# AVA5029) comes with casters that could roll on reasonably hard artificial turf. However, they would not be easy to roll through grass. Moreover, the more weight that is added to the stand, the more difficult it will be to get it to roll on non hard surfaces.

The Avenger Roller Stand 29 with Low Base (Chrome-plated, 9.5') will stand folded but it is not sturdy.

question

i am going to use this with a D600 mini boom (6 pounds)with a 10 pound counterweight.if i add a head and a beauty dish i am almost at maximum capacity...adding a 10 lb sandbag on the base...this really pushes me over the edge weightless...should I have gotten the roller 34 instead?
Asked by: Anonymous
I use this with the mini boom and I mount my Eistein 600 with an 86 umbrella....although I have not fully extended the boom, I didn't need a counter weight on the boom itself, although I did add one to be safe. I did use a 15 pound sand bag on the base. I feel, as long as you boom out over a stand leg you will be fine. Obviously one should swing on it. Dave

question

How does this Avenger stand compare to the Mathews Hollywood Baby Jr. Roller stand in sturdiness/quality?
Asked by: Derek
While I can't address the specifics regarding a comparison to the Mathews product, I can say that this roller stand is very stable and strong. I've been very happy with it and I've used it with a large softbox at full extension (with sandbag counter balance). It was stable and easy to move. I've been very happy with my purchase.
