The Rolls MS20c Splitter/Combiner/Isolator can be used to split a single balanced XLR input (or 3.5mm TRS input) into two balanced XLR outputs. It can also be used to combine two balanced XLR inputs into a single XLR output, or to simply isolate a balanced line for buzz or hum elimination. There is also a ground-lift switch for additional noise elimination. Note that when combining two condenser microphones, phantom power voltage is passed to only one of the microphones due to the internal isolation transformer.
- Split One XLR Signal into Two
- Combine Two XLR Signals into One
- Isolate Balanced Line from Buzz or Hum
- Inputs: 2 Balanced XLR, 3.5mm TRS

Rolls MS20C Reviews
MULTIPLE FAULTY UNITS IN SUPPLY CHAIN
I purchased and returned a unit that was summing a stereo signal to mono with one side 8db lower than the other. The replacement unit does the exact same thing. To make sure that I wasn't being an idiot, I did extensive testing, taking exact measurements and swapping cables, etc. to ensure it's definitely the unit. It is. I can not recommend this unit for that reason. I've reached out directly to Rolls and made my test files available to them.
A solid performer
I use these to split my mics between a monitor mixer and the front of house mixer. These small boxes are made in the USA and built like a tank. They do their job well without coloring the sound and also double as a mic combiner in those situations when you have run out of mic channels on the board. I have a few Rolls boxes in my toolkit and they are solid and dependable little problem solvers.
