Oferece acoplamento perfeito e retém o acoplamento do medidor e a abertura AI. Não suporta operação AF.

Bought the produt to do some shots of auto parts for an e-commerce website. Overall it has the typical Nikon build quality but has no electrical contacts for lens automation. My fault, I knew it was manual, and thought it shouldn't be a problem, but didn't relate that to the fact that there is no aperture ring on the newer Nikon lenses. So every shot was at the minimum aperture, in my case almost f42!
Ended up buying a set of Kenko tubes and although they are mostly plastic, they work perfectly with my equipment. The PK-13 is now gathering dust.
Very disapointed.

Comments about Nikon PK-13 27.5mm AI Extension Tube:
Come on Nikon, get with the program and update your extension tubes to be compatible with your own equipment. I would NOT recommend these tubes unless you are only using manual lenses and manual cameras. Disables the aperture on PC-E lenses. I will have to try the Kenko line of tubes that have the proper contacts to allow the transfer of lens information.

Comments about Nikon PK-13 27.5mm AI Extension Tube:
...tubes are a necessity for macro photography. Nikons extension tubes are superior in build quality when compared to others manufactured for Nikon cameras. The mating tolerances are tighter and they are less likely to "sag" and lose connection when used with additional tubes.
I'm replacing my PK-13 after 10 years of use because the locking pin snapped...my fault. Reordering the same component after 10 years of use, given today's advancement in technology, should tell you something...other than Nikon has not updated their equipment. But...no need to mess with perfection.

I'm a wedding photographer and needed something to get some really decent clear mega up close shots of the rings and this did the trick. Combined with my 85mm the shots are crystal clear - serves it's purpose for what I need it for :)

It's great if you are not ready to invest in a macro lens. Definitely use a tripod.

I did my research before I purchased this product and did not see (although I obviously missed one) anywhere that it would not work with the newer digital cameras. I have a Nikon D90 and D7000 camera and none of the Nikon extension tubes work with either camera.

Comments about Nikon PK-13 27.5mm AI Extension Tube:
In the digital age, there are still some old fashioned photographic gadgets that work just fine. Like this extension tube, for example. Put it between your lens and the object, and you'll get really, really close with no additional optical or digital distortion. The trade off is less light reaching the lens, so be prepared for longer exposures and the need to keep your camera REALLY steady to get the picture sharp.

This is exactly what I needed to get me closer to my subjects without having to spend thousands on a Nikon Nikkor 200mm macro lens.

As an extension tube, the 27.5 one offerd by Nikon is outstanding. It is right in the size range that is most useful for a variety of macro shots. It fits well and fuctions just as intended.

Havn't taken that many shots with it but seems that it will do what I want. Good quality. Only complaint is that is doesn't come with a case, just a plastic bag. Come on Nikon!

Comments about Nikon PK-13 27.5mm AI Extension Tube:
I use the PK-13 extension tube with my 55mm macro lens. This combination gives me a 1:1 macro image with ample selective focus to be creative with the composition of my photo work. Making equipment changes in the field is not my preference, so I mount the PK-13 on the lens first, then in the field, mount the PK-13 lens combination on the camera body.

If you are interested in close up photography, this is a must. Turn any lens into a macro lens at a reasonable price. Note: the autofocus function does not work on AF-S lenes.

Comments about Nikon PK-13 27.5mm AI Extension Tube:
This item can either be a cheap entry into macro photography (in combination with a non-macro lens) or a welcome addition for a macro lens to increase its magnification ratio. Solidly built, but no data transfer for the modern lenses, since there are no electrical contacts.

I used to use film bodies with my bellows for macro shoots. When I converted to digital bodies I needed room between the bellows rail and the handgrip on the digital body. The Pk-13 gave me the added clearance I needed to be able to mount the body to the bellows. Again Nikon and its compatible equipment rules the roost!

Shooting with a D200, using my 50mm 1.4 and a reversing ring there is almost no depth of field but I can fill the frame with a dime. My goal was to get close-DOF the price.
