Comments about Sachtler DV-6SB Fluid Head:
We purchased this head to use with a Sony PMW-EX1 XDCAM camera. While a smaller head would have done the job, the DV6SB has additional weight capacity for accessories such as matte box, follow focus, prime lens adaptors, teleprompters, etc. Quality is at Sachtler's usually very high level. It's very easy to set the frictions on the head to achieve smooth camera moves. My only complaint about this head with our camera is, the sliding baseplate does not have enough fore/aft movement range to properly balance the EX-1. I understand that Sachtler has an optional plate available with more options for mounting the camera... I wish that they had included it at this price.
