Gepe Card Safe Extreme Watertight Case - for Four Compact Flash (CF), Smart Media (SM), Memory Stick (MS), Multi Media (MMC) or Secure Digital Cards (Ice Blue)
The Gepe Card Safe Extreme (Ice Blue) is a watertight case made to store memory cards such as Compact Flash, Smart Media, Memory Stick, MMC or SD cards. Inside, the memory cards are protected against humidity and dust, as well as electrostatic charge. Four compartments offer space for several different memory cards, and grip each of them tightly.
The Card Safe Extreme uses insert material to protect the memory cards from being erased or damaged due to electrostatic effects. The card holder also has special viewing windows so you are able to see which space is taken by which card, even if the box is closed. This makes the organization of your cards easier. In addition, it is weatherproofed and it floats in water, and the design of the lock makes using the Card Safe a snap, even when wearing gloves.
The Card Safe Extreme has been tested and certified as European IPX-7, which means it is protected against immersion in water (immersion for 30 minutes at a depth of 1 meter).

I left this case in my lower leg pocket and sent it through the wash and spin cycle, the regular cycle, and when I pulled it our from the bottom of the washer I was very nervous... I opened it it looked and felt dry... let my cards air out over night just in case. When I went to download NO PROBLEMS still using the same cards. This case really is watertight. Awesome. Saved me several hundred $$ in memory cards.
Only drawback is that the cards fit in very snug, if you are trying to change cards really quick its hard, you need two hands to get a CF Card out. Well worth the protection.
Not a slim profile but I take the safe keeping every day over a slim pocket line.

While this is a well made product and I love the ability to have the windows and all of the colors it comes in, I found this product to be very disappointing for a couple of reasons.
It's a bit difficult to open for a petite woman like myself! I have to give it a good tug, which I guess is good for durability, but bad for my fingers! Secondly, the CF cards fit in TIGHT. Way too tight. I literally have to PRY them out, and push to get them in. Not exactly ideal for the weddings I shoot, when sometimes the card change has to be quick. I've wound up using this to store the cards I expect to use last and when I find a moment, I switch in my used cards so that the unused ones are ready to fly from a more convenient case.

Strong case. I've been using them for years. I use a 1ds MK 2 which work with both cf and sd cards, this case allows me to store 4 of each safely. I have purchased 3 of them over the years and never had a problem.
Some may find the cards are too tightly secured and tough to take out of the case ( especially the SD cards which are not as strong as CF cards) learn to be gentle with removing SD cards.

Good little product. Third one I have bought. The only issue is with CF cards, the grip is very tight so it can be tough to take the cards out without a coin or somthing else to leverage under them.

I needed something to keep my CF cards organised and safe while I travel. This is perfect for me in that it holds the cards securely, is waterproof (the Pelican version is not), tough, and I can keep it tethered to a bag (there's a small loop for attaching a lanyard or similar) so it'll never get misplaced.
Some have noted that the fit of the cards is really tight, and they're right. Perhaps a little too tight in that you need to really pry them to get them out. Having said that, I don't think the cards will sustain any damage from this, and I think the fit is slowly loosening the more I use the case. I'm happy with it the way it is, at least they'll never fall out.
Something not mentioned in the description is that you can actually carry 4 SD cards AND 4 CF cards at the same time. The two card types occupy separate space within each compartment, meaning they'll both fit in there at the same time. This isn't useful for me, but could be really handy for people using two camera types, or a camera which accepts either card type.

Had an experience of washing my CF card so bought this to protect. So far it works. This is my second case which somehow seems to work better than my first one (same brand but grey color). The difference was the snap closure. The blue one is not just a hanging plastic on your case. Cant quite understand why they have to be different and now that I realized this, I will buy more of the blue ones.

Although this case looks indestructible and water proof, it broke the tooth on one of the plastic channels on my BRAND NEW compact flash card. The cards fit so snugly into the firm rubber casing that they are hard to get in and out. The whole point of me purchasing the GEPE was to protect my cards, not destroy them. Definitely sending back for a different case.

Yes the CF card fits snug, isn't that what you want? I can still remove it with my fingers though. Of course that is relative to your strength. The closure latch is the same, snug not stupid tight. The viewing ports are a nice touch. Case seems bulletproof. The hinges seem very durable. Case could not be much smaller for its intended purpose. Small price to pay to protect $250.00 cards.

Very nice that I can put SD cards on the bottom and CF cards over them. The cards fit well enough - too tight if you put the CF cards in the way intended, but better if you rotate them 90 degrees. Case could be a little easier to open. But overall a good product and rare in that it holds both SD and CF, which is why I bought it.
