These are lightweight and a great product for the price.
The security pin (goes through the vertical riser pole) that secures the pole from falling down in case of failure in the clamp is a great design.
My only complaint about this product is the plastic tightening hardware, for two reasons:
a. it can be damaged when transporting/storing the stands, i.e. loading and unloading a truck.
b. they have to be VERY tightly clamped to secure the stand. i am using a very lightweight (~20#) speaker and was surprised at how tight i had to make the lower clamp the keep the stand from collapsing. it was a bit uncomfortable to do so since all of the parts there are plastic.
overall, still a great product for the price!

These stands seem to be made well with good hardware. As far as how they hold up ... time tell. Let use them for a year I'll let you know more then. But I have no issues with them.

My Roland AC90 is now off the ground, near ear level, and it sounds GREAT! The SS-77618 is one h*ll-of-a-stand - industrial strength construction, set it at any height, and it looks good to boot! AND it's nearly $10 cheaper than it's competition[...]! There's absolutely no reason NOT to buy it!

not a whole lot to pro/con... it's sturdy and well built. i would rather see metal adjustment knobs than plastic (which will easy break if dropped or jammed in the back of a van)

Comments about On-Stage SS-7761B - Aluminum Reversible Shaft Speaker Stand:
These all aluminum speaker stands are top-notch. I am comparing them to the brand-name stands these replace that were more expensive yet of lesser quality. the SS-7761B's have larger-diameter tubing, robust rubber feet and a real smooth tight fit/feel. I really appreciate the drilled center shaft with the safety pins - This allows me to never over-tighten the collars. The tapered main shaft is wonderful and elegant. I would choose these over the Big Name in stands even if they are the same price. On-Stage has a real winner here.

Comments about On-Stage SS-7761B - Aluminum Reversible Shaft Speaker Stand:
These stands are great! They are really sturdy and stable, but yet they're lightweight and have a pretty small footprint when open. The non-slip feet are fantastic on any surface. The reversible center pole allows for just about any speaker to be mounted on the stand. Plus, these stands just look good! What more could you ask for?
