This is a device that lets you easily control 2 i-pods. My son hooks it up to a high quality speaker/reciever and it is wonderful for parties. He DJ's a lot of events for friends, and the results are great! Very easy to use.

We use this product at our ballroom dance studio so we can easily swap between different ipods, cd player and computer audio jack. It's easy to use and does what it advertises, which makes it great for constant sharing of the music by 10+ instructors. This is the 3rd IDJ 2-Channel iPod Mixer by Numark that the studio has owned since it's opening coming up on 4 years ago. The 1st two both died in the exact same way--the spinning ipod selector dial, ipod charging fuction and all the blue lighting on the mixer stopped working. After the 2nd one failed the same way as the 1st one, we tried another brand of ipod mixer, but sadly it didn't even last a full year, so we went back to Numark because it conveniently charges the ipods while they are docked and since we bought the 2 year replacement warranty with this one, we feel satisfied with the purchase and were willing to take the chance of it malfunctioning again because it still seems to be the best product to suit our needs--easy to use--works as advertised. Hopefully any bugs have been fixed and this purchase will last a long time.

I am a casual user, providing recorded music and mics for events at my son's middle school, Little League, PTA fundraisers, etc. While this may not meet everyone's needs, it is PERFECT for these applications. Likes: easy set-up, easy to use, compact size is great. Start/stop feature with crossfader is key...everything else is a bonus. Dislikes: Classic-size iPods are a bit undersupported when connected to iDJ.

Great little mixer to keep any party going easy to understand and have great sound quality. Only complaint is that the mixer do not have the video outputs as per the detail and picture on the website.

The board of our non-profit is always looking for different ways to raise money and this year we hosted a New Year's Eve party. We wanted to save money wherever possible and decided to purchase this unit in place of hiring a DJ. With 2 iPods in hand, a few different music playlists (including one with a vocal countdown "10", "9", "8"....), and using a cell phone timer, we were able to fade between dance songs, the countdown track and our "After Midnight" mix....worked flawlessly and the sound was great. This product is highly recommended, worked as advertised and we felt that the price was more than reasonable. We'll be using this for lots of future events now that we know how easy it is to use. I love this product! It's great for novice or a hobbyist like me. Simple controls and compatible with most ipods. I wish it was compatible with iPhones too. Overall, it's a great product and it's very compact.

I find the iDJ easy to set up and run. It eliminates me having to carry cd's to location. I can cue up songs and the fade from one side to the other is great.

I use this for mixing ipod and its a no brainer easy to use and sounds great with my regular amp (sony) and Nikkodo monitor speakers highly recommended.

I use the iDJ to play dance music for our dance club. It makes it easy to switch sources of music such as a pc, cd player or iPod smoothly. The ability to use the mic at the same time music is playing is great! Some people complain that it does not have pitch control but that does not matter to us. We typically has a 5 second break between songs and we don't want to alter the beat so people can determine from the beat if they will dance West Coast Swing or Lindy or Hustle or Cha Cha or whatever. The price is great for it capability and the blue function controls look nice.

Bought this for my eleven year old and he is having a blast with it While it has all the bells and whistles for professional use, it is also simiple enough to enjoy with an iPod and some speakers.

I use this product to bring quality audio in a room designed for teenagers. We meet every week, and this product has allowed me to cross-fade easily through songs with 4 different devices. I just received this product and as of right now I don't have any negative comments about it. The iDJ is the way to go.

Surprised at how the features work. Mine all work fine If i would have went by the neg comments I never would have bought it. But I'm glad I did. Ill use it for casual gigs. Now I don't have to carry around all that bulky equip and cd's

I Like the sound quality that this machine produces also the functions are user friendly. I personally need to work on getting just a little more prepared with setting up playlist. then I could go back and forth between the two ipods while I dj. The only drawback if any is the mounting on to a rackmount system that I own. But w/ a little imagination I was able to adapt a board and a bolt in the middle of the board to hold the idj in place. I recommend this to any one who loves ipods and enjoy continuious music.

This is a pretty powerful little unit, able to plug into your own home stereo system with mic capabilities.

The only thing I wish it was able to do was scratch. It seems that the iPod dials that are built into the console could have shared this capability, but not quite.

This is most definitely a beginner's unit. It's slightly limited in its abilities, but is a great learning tool for when you are ready to upgrade.

I bought this for my kids. It's easy to use and sound quality is great. There are plenty of inputs and outputs.
I didn't purchase this for professional use but, build quality and feel is top notch
I don't have anything negative to say about it for its intended purpose although it may lack features for the true professional.
