In the past I would run electricity to my 3 canon cameras for long baseball games. This meant extra time and safety issues when running cables. Now that I use the extended life batteries which handle 4 plus hours nicely. I can focus more on the critical issues that need to be resolved for a better production.

I purchased this battery as a backup battery for our Canon XHA1s camcorder (also purchased from B&H). It works as expected. The camcorder ships with 1 of these batteries, so having a 2nd means you can charge the first batt while running with the other batt, essential when shooting on-the-set or at-the-event. We also chose this battery instead of it's larger (heavier) version because it will not throw off weight & balance when the camera is mounted on a Steadicam and the batteries are swapped. The lighter weight is also beneficial when the camera is mounted at the end of a camera crane.

Power Pack for (among others) a Canon XH-A1 (also purchased at B&H). Lasts better than 3 full hours of recording coupled with re-playing (to capture on pc) 3 hours...6 HOURS OF BATTERY LIFE WITH FULL USAGE!!!!!

When I first looked at the price for the BP950G, i was in shock. For other replacement batteries were half its price. But i really think its worth its price. it has great batt. life and best of all its a Canon.

I needed a second battery. This one is slightly smaller in capacity than the large one but at 3 or 4 hours on a charge I couldn't justify spending more $ for a little more time.
I know it will charge, function and store well because it is OEM Canon.

Last year I bought a GL-2 and went with a no-name battery. I'll never do that again. Always buy the Canon one! Fits much better on the camera and just is much better overall.
