The Raynox PLP-S30 Filter Kit includes a Multi-Layer Coated (MC) Protection filter, a Polarizer filter and a Tube Adapter to mount on to the Canon PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera. The MC Protection filter protects the lens from dust, moisture and scratches, which can lead to costly repairs, and also reduces haze in landscape shots. The Polarizer Filter suppresses unwanted light reflections such as on the glass or water and maintains the cameras auto focus function while the filter is attached. Both filters have 52mm front and rear mounts so the filters can be stacked while the included filter cap will protect your filter surface when attached to the camera.
Note:
Linear polarizers are used with most video and manual focus photo cameras. They are not recommended for auto-focus SLR cameras
UV Protection Filter
Haze filters provide additional benefits of correction for Ultraviolet(UV) light which can register on film and videotape as a bluish cast and can obscure distant details
If desired they can be left on the lens at all times for protection
Ultraviolet filters allow you to correct for the UV effect to varying degrees
Polarizing Filter
Raynox Polarizer Filter suppresses unwanted light reflection such as on the glass or the water
This filter eliminates ultraviolet rays to remove haze from outdoor shots as well as polarizing the light to remove reflections, and increase color saturation, without affecting the overall color balance
It maintains auto focus function when the filter is attached
