I have been using this camera in a studio where I also use medium format equipment, and it is the equal to my Mamiya and any of my film cameras including my EOS equipment. I wish it were 1:1 as it would give me a really wide angle to use. Aside from that it is fantastic.

Expertise: Professional, automotive and technical shooting 90% of time

Problems Encountered: I hate the process of going from Color to B&W. I shoot about 50% of each.

Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Canon EOS system. I use the same lens set.

Items I Recommend: 60MM Macro, 135 Soft Focus and Speedlight

I have had my camera for over a year and I am still having trouble indoors with dark pictures. I have purchased a large flash, changed the ISO and the problem continues. I have taken a class and I am not happy with some of my interior shots. My outdoor pictures are great!

My Rebel--Darby--is still going strong after over two yearsof intensive shooting on him. He's been up to the top ofmountains skiing, he's been to the desert of Peru in thehumidity several times, he's been lugged around a horse farmfor two summers, been on boat rides, been to swim meets,football games, graduations, weddings, senior portraitshoots, and a whole lot more, and I never have to worry--healways comes through for me. This is a sturdy, dependablecamera--mine has put up with a lot of loving use from me,and he still fires when I ask him. The quality in color,etc, is amazing, as is the speed at which this thing canturn on and fire! He's a lot easier to use than my friends'Nikon D70s and all--he makes photography fun! Definitely myfirst recommendation for an entry-level SLR, and one I amnever parting with.

My first SLR I've ever owned. Its very easy to use, and I have come to trust and love canon. Its light weight and worth its money.
