Beautiful quality of light. perfect as a camera light , perfect as a fill light for interviews, perfect as a small light in small spaces like cars , corners...
it could be a bit more powerful, and a bit cheaper...
it is not so good with the dv battery adaptor as it get very heavy when the batteries are on , but it is great as an independent wireless light source.

I just received the Litepanel DV Camera Kit for my Sony Z7 camera and have had it out on two jobs already. This on-camera light is amazing. With the light in it's lowest output setting, it provided plent of light to shoot wedding reception daning and outdoor night interviews. I had no "hot" spots as the light was soft and even across the 16x9 footage shot in the nighttime. And with 2 of the smaller Sony NP-F570 batteries attached for power, 5 got about 5 hours of light. Tough it costs a bit more than other on-camera lights, my Litepanel light should last me for many, many years.

this is my second review of this light. the batteries don not have a safty catch, i had to use rubberbands to make sure they didn' fall off. the first time i used the light the battery adapter plate fell off and broke the adapter and one battery. the battery plate is a press fit. i contacted lightpannels service. i left 2 messages and no one called back. on the third cal i reached some one and was told to buy their extension cord. this is fine but if yu remove the battery adapter it has 4 pins sticking out to catch on everthing.
the idea is good but very poorly designed.

Easy-to-use light with good filter pack. Has a dimmer that does not affect color temperature. Previous review noted there is no on/off switch. While this is true, it is easy enough just to pull the plug from the handy, attachable battery.
