Comments about Nikon ProStaff 3.2"/82mm Spotting Scope Kit (Black):
Good optics even at 60x. Noticeable brighter and slightly sharper than my other spotting scope which has a 60 mm aperture. The optical peep sight works well. I added a RRS quick release plate to the scope which makes it easy to add and remove from a tripod. The only thing I don't like is the poor fit of the eye piece cover, fits too tight, and the bayonet eyepiece cover fits too loose, falls off too easily. Surprising for a Nikon optic.

We will use this spotting scope mostly for whale watching and nature observation. After setting it up, we were pleased with the brightness, clarity, and ease of use. This is our first scope, but we believe we made a great choice. We use ours with a sturdy, easy to adjust tripod[...]

This is acutally my 2nd Nikon spotting scope. The first one was stolen out of my vehicle! I have only used it a few times, but it is really nice. the optics are great, clear and comfortable on my eyes.

Comments about Nikon ProStaff 3.2"/82mm Spotting Scope Kit (Black):
So far, I love this scope. Very light for its size, and very sharp. I like the padded case, as well as the built-in sun shield and lens cap. The eyepiece has a good zoom range, and the focus works very well. So far, I have mainly used it for watching birds in the backyard (especially Kestrel falcons), and have gotten great results. I can't wait to take it out for more extensive watching soon.

Comments about Nikon ProStaff 3.2"/82mm Spotting Scope Kit (Black):
I use this scope for birdwatching. The angled eyepiece is very useful for looking at birds in the air or in trees. I really like the twist eyepiece. My camera lens fits snuggly inside when the eyepiece is extended, making it easy to digiscope. The scope also has good eye relief, my eyes do not get tired or strained. The case is also very nifty and it even comes with a strap that attaches directly to the scope for easy handling. It also comes with caps for the objective and eyepiece. The optics are great, I can even see details at dusk. It isn't heavy either for being 20-60X-82.
This is a great buy for birders!
