I have used this digital target quite a few times now. I first use it to make sure my camera is accurately metering the lighting correctly (I check the histogram to see if I have 3 spikes showing.....dark, gray, and white). Then I take a shot to set up the correct white balance using the target and then I'm ready to go.

It's very accurate and works great!!! It's handy to have along (folds up easily) and is useful as a white reflector on the back. I would recommend it highly!!

It comes with a DVD that explains it's use very well.

Getting back into photography, this product helps tremendously when it comes to custom white balance. I've used this with three different light sources (tungsten, florescent, and flash) thus far and the images came out great. Does it cause an extra step in the beginning, yes, but I think well worth it. Very simple in design and workability.

The perfect product. If you video camera has a waveform monitor this belongs in your camera bag. Wavefrom setup on one side, then flip it over and set up white balance. The exposure side had a nice focus target in the center making it the perfect all in one tool.

It comes in different sizes. The 24" is perfect for my work.

I recently purchased this for use with a Canon 7D in video production and photography for internal work projects. It's a great white balance tool that is easy to deploy, use and then put away. The DVD that comes with it, while dated, does a good job of explaining how to use it.

Having used it for a while, my only regret is that I don't have the smaller one - this one is great for use when you have a few moments to set up shots, but for informal use, the small one would be much easier to use without feeling like you're holding up anything.

When you use this product correctly you can't be wrong. That's the entire point of the product. So if you're using this, and have an incorrect exposure, you're doing something wrong. This product is for set lighting... Not so good when you're on the go in variable lighting.

I didn't give it five stars because I thought it should of had a full white balance surface on the back.

I'm a first time user of color calibration cards and the DVD that came with this product was a great help.

The 24" One Shot Digital Target by PhotoVision is exactly what you expect it to be from the description. It works great and folds up nicely for storage.

The most amazing thing is the DVD that comes with it. Wow. I was really surprised. How interesting could it be? PhotoVision makes some good tutorial videos and I guess they wanted to take this as an opportunity to give you a freebie to get you hooked on their videos.

One example of the DVD content is an exercise where the host walks you through setting up a custom white balance. But he does with with the target farther and farther away (filling up less and less of the camera's filed of view). After doing this I was amazed at how little area is used by a Canon 7D for determining CWB. Very interesting and helpful tips in a great bonus DVD.

I use this to ensure my highlights and shadows fall within an acceptable range so my images do not suffer from clipping. I bought this size as a happy medium for studio and location work. I do not use it for white balance calibration, trusting either the whibal or the x-rite instead. Although the use of the product would seem straightforward, there are some very useful videos on the manufacturer's web site which have some additional helpful information (for example, which side should go closest to the light source).

This product works best if you are doing studio portrait shoots. if you are going to be working outside, get the smaller version.

Looking to make your workflow easier? I purchased this product and do not regret it one bit. The size is perfect and the time it saves in Adobe Lightroom is irreplacable. I suggest that anyone working in the photography realm invest in yourself and purchase this product.

This target is well built and just the right size to fill the frame. The white balance is very easy to set with my D300S, eliminating the need to correct WB during post editing.

I use this primarily for video but it was designed for still photographers to white balance the camera. Comes with an instructional video. You can carry white or grey cards to accomplish the same thing this product does, but you get white, black, grey and a reflector in one device. I use mine for color correcting in post by using the color picker to identify the relevant colors in the scene. Much better than guessing.

24 inches seems enormous but the bigger size is helpful in the field; you wont have to zoom in or get closer to the subject to see the target.

This product is as easy as one, two, three. Set your camera to manual, shoot the target, set white balance. Excellent tool for digital photography.

I love having cross hairs to focus on in the center of the target. It make adjusting the white balance so much easier when processing pictures. Great improvement to this product!!!
