Comments about Joby Gorillapod SLR Flexible Mini-Tripod:
Really comes in handy with travel. The top is a little hard to adjust, but the unit is solid. Very good for long exposures.

Comments about Joby Gorillapod SLR Flexible Mini-Tripod:
Firstly, I use all my gorillapods for multiple flash use indoors or under tents. I own two SB600 and two SB800 Nikon flashes that I bounce off ceilings or walls in Manual power settings. Basically, whatever the normal human hand can grip comfortably, the Gorillapod will work well on as a sturdy support.
I use them whenever possible since light stands can get in the way of clumsy feet. Strangely enough, when properly attached, it even grips well to the vertical poles of heavy tents.
Gorillapods are NOT do-it-all tripods and does have limitations since it may require something to grip on to, but when the location is ideal, I always wish I have a couple more flashes and gorillapods.
If I could improve the gorillapod, I would get light attachments to work with them such as mini soft boxes or umbrellas.

Creative, amazing little product. Will not solve every situation, but is great for many. Good for couples who travel to areas with nobody to take a photo for you. Or good for those who want to stabilize a shot in an awkward location (signpost, fence, tree stump, etc...).

Nice little tripod. Great way to stabilize your camera in tough situations. Adjusts easy and grips tight! I bought the kit that comes with a hotshoe adapter so I can do the same with my portable flash guns. Works great for getting that extra light in a hard to reach spot!

Comments about Joby Gorillapod SLR Flexible Mini-Tripod:
This is a neat little tripod... but it's really not strong enough for an SLR. For a point and shoot it's perfect, but it struggles trying to hold my XTI. Even with it's kit lens which is pretty light.
Over all it's a cool little tripod tho.

I use the smaller version for my P&S camera and have been very happy with that one.The easy on/off feature sold me again. My larger/heavier Sony F717 will give this one a workout and I have used this SLR version so far with good results.
