E-MU 4040 Overview

The 0404 USB 2.0 from E-MU is an audio/MIDI computer interface that features 24-bit/192kHz A/D and D/A converters, XT microphone/line/Hi-Z preamps, ultra-low jitter clock and rock-solid stability.

Exceedingly good audio specifications and a generous feature set make the unit a very attractive option for computer users. Phantom power is provided on the microphone preamps and a Soft Limit features helps to avoid digital clipping while allowing the user to record audio with healthy levels.

MIDI I/O as well as digital inputs and outputs, along with a comprehensive cross section of "lite" versions of software from many of the major manufacturers round out a unit that provides everything needed to create, record, edit and master music.
