until you get to HC transfer rates, all SD cards are pretty much equal. Larger cards cost 3x as much, so why not just have more of these? I underestimated how many photos i would be taking and how quickly my memory would be used up initially, so i would say to those new to the game, Buy twice as many as you think you'll need

I bought this to go along with the P&S camera I gave my wife for christmas. B&H was practicly giving it away so I took a chance. I had a hard time formatting the card but am unsure if this was related to the card or my not being familiar with the camera. However, it holds over 1200 pictures from our 8MP camera so I am very happy.

Comments about Kingston 2GB SD Memory Card:
We use this memory card in our portable hand held audio recorders. They work great. We have never had any compatibility issues EVER! We mainly buy this size because most recorders will not record an audio .wav file larger than 2 GB anyway. Keep this in mind. We have been using these cards for years and have never had a hiccup. Plus the price just keeps get lower and lower.

Comments about Kingston 2GB SD Memory Card:
I bought this sd card to compliment my Pentax Optio 50. It works as advertised. I prefer the 2GB to the much larger cards. The thought of having thousands of pictures on one card bothers me. This card holds about 285 pictures on my 8mp camera in the highest setting. If that sound like not very many pictures, remember the 35 mm days when your film could hold about 36 pictures.
