I bought this keyboard to use with my HTPC in my living room because of the HTPC-friendly features as well as the built in touchpad. First of all it just looks great. The fit and finish is very good with no visible problems. It's very thin and sleek looking and the black/silver finish gives it a bit of elegance. The back of the board is a bright orange for a nice contrast and is a rougher surface that works very well to keep it from sliding on your lap.
Functionally, it works very well. The built in and customizable function keys are a great feature and along with the built in Media Center button and volume slider they make it a great HTPC keyboard. I actually won't be buying a remote now because of that. The bluetooth range seems to be good as well, although I'm normally not more than 10 feet from the computer. The only problem I had was that I had to place the USB receiver in the top USB slot of my computer instead of in the back because the reception got a little wonky at times.
The built in touchpad is a great feature and one of the key reasons I bought the board but could use some improvement. It's a bit small and touchy, which you'll get used to but it's also not always as responsive as it should be especially with the scroll feature. When first touching the pad it doesn't always "see" it immediately. I'll have to move my finger around the pad so the computer realizes that I'm trying to move the mouse. Once it kicks in everything is fine though. The pad scrolling is spotty at best mainly for the same reason but also it's hard to get the scroll to kick in sometimes. It just moves the mouse pointer instead of scrolling so I'll mostly use the browser scroll. mostly.
If you can live with those little things, it comes highly recommended so long as you can also live with the price. The only thing I would not recommend it for is any serious gaming unless you use it with an external mouse.

Currently using this keyboard/mouse combi as an interface for an HTPC. Love the look and feel of the keyboard. Function keys and other extra keys set up very nicely for frequently used applications. However, having periodic episodes where the keystrokes don't register on the PC, while the mouse continues to function. Have improved this by moving the USB Bluetooth dongle to the front of the HTPC (somewhat disrupting the smooth face of the HTPC), but still have occasional issues where there is a delay of several seconds before my keystrokes come on screen. I typically sit ~10-15 feet from the computer (across the room, no obstructions other than the PC itself).
There aren't too many wireless keyboards that include a built in track-pad or track-ball, such as is useful for an HTPC, so selection is limited. Overall, I'm a bit dissapointed in the keyboard for what I've paid for it, but am more skeptical about the other (lower priced) items that I've seen from other no-name companies. As such, my recommendation comes with a caveat regarding receiption/performance.

Comments about Logitech diNovo Edge Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard:
Good idea - bad implementation.
I use this keyboard to control the PC I've got attached to my TV. The touchpad's usefulness could have been MONUMENTALLY improved were the 5 buttons on the left side of keyboard placed in the wasted space above the F-Keys, and all of the keys moved over another 3/4 of an inch.
The touchpad could then be square, larger, and consequently, more useful. As it is now, it's only a bit larger than an old silver dollar. The scrolling function of the touchpad is very touchy and unreliable. Adding a simple wheel or even a small trackball for scrolling would have been vastly better.
Over-all it functions "OK" but it is quite frustrating to use.

Comments about Logitech diNovo Edge Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard:
I like the keyboard a lot. Thin light. Small. I was looking for a keyboard that didn't have a number pad, because i don't use one and have very limited space on my desktop. Love the design. It holds a charge a long time. I haven't recharged and it's been a couple weeks. Guess it's supposed to last months, but it's so easy to put it into the charging dock, which also is sort of cool looking, that i would not expect to ever run out of power. I wish the mouse pad, track pad was bigger. It's hard to get used to, but works better than the track pad on my new HP pavilion.
This was an expensive keyboard, but for someone looking for a small, yet still full sized keyboard, and a very portable one, it's quite good. Except for the mouse track pad. So if you use a separate mouse, then this is fine.
Also, the keyboard has some cool features, like a plus sign to increase font size (at least when online), and a volume control. All very handy features.

Comments about Logitech diNovo Edge Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard:
I set up a home network with two laptops, two Apple products, and some miscellaneous Windows based devices I restored and later gave away. I needed a good keyboard to use on all of them. I did a lot of searching--even looked at gaming keyboards--but choose this one. Why: looks, recharging ability, brand name, and trackpad. This keyboard looks spectacular, and I like it because it's large and fits in my lap. I had no problems setting it up. My new Dell (Win 7) did hiccup a little; using the usb device fixed it. The charger is a helpful for keeping it in place after use. I wish it were backlit, but the key lighting it has is really cool (led colors would have been great). Once you learn to use the trackpad, you appreciate it's power, and I don't know why wireless keyboards come without them. I do recommend this keyboard--and I was pleased to get it from B&H--they do it right the first time. [...]Yes, it's a pricey item, but I believe it will serve my purposes well.

My boyfriend uses it on his 42inch tv that is connected to his computer. Having this keyboard gave him the freedom to not be confined to one spot and he doesn't have to sit close to the tv because of the keyboard cord didn' stretch far. He loves the orange lighting that lights up when you plug it in to charge. He also likes the stand for the keyboard to charge on! You all made my boyfriends Christmas he was like a big kid when he opened the package!!! Thanks so much!

Comments about Logitech diNovo Edge Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard:
Please keep in mind, if I sound nit-picky, it is in direct correlation to the price of this keyboard. For what it's worth, this replaced a Microsoft Wireless Entertainment Desktop 7000.
the good:
-very firm, high-quality keypress feel
-very good range (haven't received any stuck letters or mistypes)
-touchpad scrolling takes some getting used to, but is highly functional when you do
-everything seems to work (except custom keys) WITHOUT installing Logitech software (which I found bloated and annoying in the past)
-fantastic battery life makes the clever charging dock seem almost unnecessary
-audible tones toggling caps lock
the bad:
-so far, one key, the letter 'k', seems to require a very accurate press... if you hit it high on the key, it doesn't register
-home typing key bumps are hard to feel (f & j)
-why use a cold metal plate as an area to rest your skin? burrr
-black, shiny plastic is easily scratched by as little as calloused fingers rubbing off dirt. no really, my own stupid thumb was able to put swirl marks on this plastic
-additional left-click mouse button is unnecessarily tiny and should be distinguished from the zoom buttons without having to look at them
overall:
I like it very much, and definitely would purchase it again. This design is going on 4 years old... one would think the costs could come down at some point.

We use these keyboards in our conference rooms. Lightweight, wireless, rechargeable and a wheel mouse make them perfect for passing along the table. In fact, I like them so much I've bought them for home use too.

I have 2 of these keyboards, one in bedroom, and one in the living room, where i have my computer setup on a 50 inch projection screens to save my eyes.
For the common laptop user the touch pad, is a nice transition, besides the fact you don't have to have a separate mouse.. so lame ! additionally this keyboard is blue tooth instead of the traditional infra-red .. much more faster....Get a keyboard cover so you don't spill your drinks in it.. its worth the investment..

Comments about Logitech diNovo Edge Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard:
I was looking for something for my HTPC that could be recognized during boot and include mouse and keyboard in one unit. In four months I charged it only two times. Unfortunately, the up arrow AND the right arrow keys stopped working on me. I plugged the device into another computer to check if it was indeed a hardware issue for such a new device. Indeed, this was the case. In addition to receiving a faulty product, Logitech customer service was poor and would not honor their warranty.
I will instead purchase a Apple magic trackpad and Apple wireless keyboard for my HTPC. If I have to boot to bios then I will use my 8 dollar wireless mouse and keyboard, which has working up and right arrow keys : )
I will not purchase from Logitech again due to their poor customer service.
Note: If the product was not defective I would have rated it 4 stars. -1 star for the track disc/mouse being uncomfortable to use.

Let me start off by saying it was money well spent. I got home set it up (instructions easy to comprehend). Then i tested it out and it had no problems. It is useful if you are one who types daily, prefers design, and is ambidextrous with both hands because the keyboard mouse for some people may be hard to get used to. The pros of this product are, it has an amazing design (so slim), keys are so quiet, charging lasts for a long time, great mouse feature, easy aacess volume control and keys, and best of all its range capability is very good. The only con is if for some reason you need to drive back to the store for a new one, make sure you go with enough time to get there they close on the dot.
